Slocombe 6.5 - only had to pick the ball out the net
Partington 7.5 - was fairly tidy today
Brown 7 - usual steady game
Lockyer 8 - back to his old self
Craig 7.5 - organises and a good talker
Bennett 8.5 MOM - a constant pain, great game
Lines 7.5 - constantly working hard to find that killer pass
Sinclair 7 - Played as though he now has a challenge for his place
Sercombe 6.5 - a bit subdued
Gaffney 6.5 - Tried hard with little effect
Harrison 6.5 - not his best game

Northampton 4.5 Hasslebank - hilarious !! was scribbling notes after 2 mins of the game. Looked like a doorman at a posh nightclub, good whistler though. A fluke result - if that game was played 5 more times we would win them all at a canter on the balance of play and the ability of the 2 teams. Bennett is starting to show what he's about and Slocombe looked commanding with what he had to do. Great to see him throw it out so much.

Slocombe 7.5 Didn't have a lot to do, but gets a high rating due to his excellent distribution.
Partington 6.5 Steady performance, real shame he pulled his hamstring.
Lockyer 8 Looking back to his best now alongside a more experienced defender.
Craig 6 Good leader, but he was definitely the weak link in our defence today. Personally don't see how he's better than Broadbent.
Brown 6.5 Steady.
Sercombe 6 Wasted out wide. Then played too deep once he was moved central.
Lines 7 Lots of good passes today, always looking to start a move.
Sinclair 7 Usual Sincs performance.
Bennett 8.5 Brilliant performance. Starting to show what he's all about.
Gaffney 5 Awful first-touch. Constantly slowed our attacks down. Need a better partner for Ellis IMO.
Harrison 6 Was kept relatively quiet today.

Northampton 4 Poor at best. Very fortunate to not have lost.

Slocombe 7 competent Partington 7.5 got forward well Lockyer 8 solid display survived a crude challenge which deserved a straight red Craig 7 organised things well but still not convinced of his ability in the air Brown 7 usual reliable Browner shift Sercombe 7 an ok game Lines 7.5 plays too deep for me but did the job well Sinclair 7 here there and everywhere Bennett 8.5 M.o.M.brilliant first half faded a bit in second half but still showed good skill Gaffney 7 grafted well but didnt look like scoring Harrison 7 should have scored late on but worked hard at both ends of the pitch Subs: J. Clarke 7 slotted in well at right back . Moore 6.5 showed glimpses of quality Telford 6.5 one decent attempt in the short time he was on Crowd 6.5 subdued at times Ref 6 average Northampton 4 awful, relegation probable and I doubt anyone outside Northampton cares. |

Slocombe 7 - couple of good saves in a quiet game.
Partington 7.5 - defended well and put in plenty of good crosses.
Lockyer 7 - solid game.
Craig 6.5 - generally solid although slip in 1st half might have cost us.
Brown 7 - Mr.Consistency.
Locks and Craig both quality players in their own right, but concerning that we have let in a few headers of late. Does it need to be a back 3 or play one of them with Broadbent?
Lines 7.5 - still got that quality.
Sinclair 7 - every side needs one.
Sercombe 7 - unlucky with a couple of efforts. If he had Sincs' workrate he'd play at a higher level.
Bennett 8 - MOM. Tricky, involved in everything that was good today.
Gaffney 6.5 - worked hard but not hugely effective.
Harrison 6.5 - ditto Gaffers today.
Subs:
Clarke 6.5 - what he did, he did well.
Moore 6 - decent cameo, but surely too little too late.
Telford 6 - not sure I get the love in. Is ok, but any better than what we have already?
Crowd 7.5 - louder today.
Ref 8 - good, although let horrible tackle on Locks go unpunished.
DC 8 - not sure what else he could have done. Made usual bold subs going for win. Still a football genius.
