I'm sure I don't need to explain why.

Moved. I'm sure I don't need to explain why. Why was it only moved when somebody offered a different view of thatcher? The original post was very political and biased apart from plenty of other things so it should have moved to the obscurity of general chat straight away?

Because I have other things to do in life that take priority over Gaschat. Moving a thread is a pain from a mobile device. No conspiracy here.

Instead of locking the piggy thread, why dint you move it to general (which i hope you will do) so it can be continued over there . Oh n midlands post dint glorify the old terrace days he merely told it how it was, twas a totally different way of life back then(n for all you lefties dont forget Maggie was the first PM to tackle racism head on, she singlehandedly destroyed the NF) , country was sh**e work was sh**e ,society was even sh**ter. To be honest some of us oldies love to reminisce on those type threads, and find most people of today to namby pamby, growing up back then was hard, i mean really hard, but we had fun , not like today with everything given on a plated The steadfast supporter of apartheid in south africa tackling racism! Your history rewrites are so funny. David cameron even had to apologise on her behalf because of that vile womens support for the criminal south african government. Nope at the time the NF were gaining ground a lot of people joined up because of immigration, maggie wqent head to head with the NF by adding immigration to her manifesto, which in turn led to a lot of voter leaving the NF and voting tory ,so no history rewrites here if you dont believe it do a bit of research As opposed to a terrorist killing innocent people by boming a shopping centre, the same man could have been released a lot earlier if he renounced violence which he refused to do ,the same person who learnt the art of bomb making from the ira, this is also fact but don't let that get in the way of your blinkered view on the truth

Sadly the likes of thatcher, blair and cameron have driven us back towards the dark ages with their slavish devotion to crappy neo-liberal unregulated market ideas. I was born in 1959 and my generation had it easier than previous generations and the present generation without a shadow of a doubt. Really hard? dont make me laugh.

Well arn't you the lucky one ,you had it easy and screwed it up for the next generation your fist ,love my dad but hated that he was a commie ,always on strike always paying union money ,and for us kids like many other there wasnt a pot to waterin your first line had me almost wet meself laughing, as many will remember it your union lot wanted more than was available ,all you lot did was make it difficult to work ,feckin everybody out in reality meant if you dont strike with us you will be bullied mercilessly until you left ,Unions for the people don't make me laugh as if that was true and you lot dint have an undemocratic bent, then closed shops would not have existed. What gave idiots on the shop floor the right to destroy somebody because they just waned to turn up and work and not pay dues to union leaders who milked it . Did you ever wonder why so many companies are so anti union these days, the answer lies within people like you good self , in reality it was i want it all screw future generation, lets be honest if anyone started a company today they wouldn't entertain unions as a quick look back tells the real story of corruption and destruction of the working man ,still stay in your little bubble blaming everyone but the unions for what has come to pass
