it seems obvious that Wyc have broken some rules (they've already admitted some), and gained an advantage from it, but docking points after the end of a relegation season would be a very very strong step to take. How have they gained a material advantage though. That is the bit i cant get my head around if there was no advantage to it then why do it? Could b loads of advantages. Would the ex-owner have been so patient to get his debt back if it hadn't been linked to the sell on clause? if they didn't have a potential future asset like this maybe he would have asked for his debt back in instalments each year? if so wyc would have had less money to spend on players and staff. Clear Advantage there. They may have saved loan/debt interest, which would help the playing budget. The above also comes into play re the agents fees which were also linked to future sell on receipts.

I am obviously a very sad man as I have read all of that cover to cover. My reading of it is ..... Phil Smith, the agent is clearly guilty and in my opinion very lucky only to be banned for 6 months (my moral judgement rather than a legal one). The previous owners of Wycombe struck a deal with him that was against the FA rules and they then jointly and deliberately concealed it from the FA. The new owners weren't told about the secret deal when they took over the club, but told the FA when they realised and cooperated fully with them at every stage. The inquiry was all done very professionally and it is hard to criticise the process or the conclusions. A points deduction was discussed but dismissed due to mitigating factors such as full cooperation, the change of ownership and not discouraging whistle blowers. A points deduction IS an available punishment though. I actually feel sorry for the new Wycombe owners and fans, they inherited the problem. I don't hold out any huge hopes of overturning the judgement if that is the only misdemeanour. However the inquiry was very narrow, only looking at that specific charge. What else went on? We don't really know. Final thought, I do hope we are not paying the guilty agent. Good work Finnish Gas. Totend thinks there is more to it but won't divulge what..........

Also wasn't the fa supposed to tell the football league about this?

Also with the football creditors rule he would be due money below other football clubs. Somewhere along the line that could be money due to us and could effect our budget. Could have been knockon effects
