Not going to jump all over this as bad PR because it is just a one liner. Admittedly it could have been expanded to we wish him well with future endeavours...summit like that. Yeah, I agree. I don't think there is any love lost but a bland thanks and good luck would maybe have read a little nicer. Depends on the reason?

That and something to do with pasties, broken roofs, the pitch, UWE, the snake, Sainsburys, Weetabix and David Pipe's fake video evidence. Or something like that.

You've never had a good idea. Don’t you mean good ideal. You think that's why he hasn't commented? Complete lack of understanding?

Where have you been midsomer, did you have a really long complex murder case to solve? You normally do that in about 2 hours. Been a busy boy Marshfield ~ working on a case in Radstock ~ and she needed some working

Speaking as I find. on the few occasions I've met Ian, when we have had hospitality. I found him to be a great host and an propper gashead. On one occasion when we arrived to find the game was cancelled, he took our group down to meet the then manager (Phil Bater) which I thought was a nice touch. I don't have a clue why he has left and frankly it's none of my business. I can only say that in my experience he represented himself and the club excellently.

He was given the unwanted responsibility of overseeing the pitch improvements yet had no expertise in this area. I have to say allegedly the contractors were being paid piecemeal and so maybe used the cheaper sand as a way to get back at the club for this. I am not a member of any IH support groups or the like but I feel he has been made the scapegoat from this. I feel quite saddened by the manner of the announcement and other staff can now see they will get the same treatment even after years of service. I don’t think he should have had any involvement in #pitchgate and that Steve Hamer and the owners should have been here to oversee and make sure all went to plan. If the alleged payments were stalked then it’s a golden opportunity for the contractors to do a Eff U manoeuvre as I see it. We shall now see if the truth is that he was escorted off if the men as i was under the impression he was paid up. My feeling is that he was left holding the baby when he made protestations that he had no experience if this Those of you who may want ti look then look at the statement made by Steve Hamer, on the OS October 1st, saying he is a valued member of staff and basucally giving us stick for stirring the pot and no truth in IH going. Another example of saying one thing but doing another I heard he was partly the reason for the pitch, and maybe conflict of interest was involved around the contractor.Along with this, doing it on the cheap so the contractor pocketed more money, thus leaving us with a sh**e pitch because they basically used gravy granules to bind the grass (as well as under seeding the pitch). So all in all...Don’t let the door hit you on the way out 👍🏼😉 Ah yes but let's not let facts get in the way of a another reason to slate the club that some claim to love, as KP has spearheaded the blame towards Steve Hamer without giving a thought about certain information being discovered after his initial statement, but that's how it is these days, blame the club, were looking and sounding more and more like 1982 Ltd every day. The true facts are far too sensitive to release on a public forum, suffice to say the club IMO have dealt with this professionally, legally and in just the right way, huge improvements off the field and certainly no reason to make any apology or best wishes given the circumstances around the departure of IH

Some things are and should remain sensitive to both parties. We all know and love the club. Some within it aren't perfect, same could be said for every club in EFL. But, does anyone really think this subject is topical because the club has lost an asset? I think far from it. It appears the club are thriving without his services, so surely we can put this episode behind us and move on.....get behind the club and support. No one person is bigger, a lesson learned harshly by some, easier by others.
