Balanta is on a 1 year deal (if that). Kenneth was on a 3 year. It's impossible for him to turn out the same.

2 weeks ago someone was comparing him to Carayol, now someone is comparing him to Kenneth. flip me, let's at least see the bloke in the flesh first of all before we start making silly judgments.

Is that an answer to the OP or to the last message in the thread? Amazing how a one word two letter answer can be ambiguous eh?

Sign balanta knowing he is unfit not ready to play yet turley fit but just damaged arm and dont sign then signs elsewhere and plays mom game, crazy is this game.
Both players would of been an asset to us when in squad.

Its is a very odd signing but i guess he felt there is a lot of potential in him. I also feel signing an unfit player is different to signing an injured player. The club has really been slated for signing injury prone players and are under pressure regarding medicals.

Balanta picked up a knock in training so did not play in a friendly, that hardly makes him Gary Kenneth.
Regarding Turley, there is a difference between having a lack of match practice and an ongoing weakness in your arm that means it could break the first time you fall on it hard. Laughed at all those making a big thing of Turley playing for Eastleigh on weekend, he may play lots of games and get away with it, but if he breaks his arm the first time he has a bit of a fall on it he would not be a good bet.

The signing of Balanta was a calculated risk. On paper he looks a magnificent capture but a one year deal gives us a bit of leeway, something we didn't have when we put Kenneth on a 3 year deal. The Rovers of a couple of years ago would have become overexcited over a possible move for Balanta and given him a 3 year deal, just as we did with other 'big names'. Even if it takes until the new year to get Balanta up and running, I am convinced it will be worth it.

Was there ever any details given out with regards to the severity of Turleys broken arm injury. It's just that if it was a straight forward clean break, then the fracture should repair and heal stronger than the rest of his remaining bone ,unless he has had such a bad break that it caused his bone to shatter and splinter requiring screws .No information has ever been released on this.
