Thought it was a pen at the time but on watching that their defender clearly gets a touch on the ball first.

Bennet is another gem unearthed by D.C.

Not complaining but definitely not a pen and would be fuming if that was given against us. Just hope there's no retrospective action as he seemed to go down very easily with minimal contact watching that.
Edit: Quality player though. UTG

I’m not sure Bennett is quite our new Billy Bodin but as good as Billy was he had a tendency to be a little greedy and take shots which were a bit over ambitious, which we of course forgave given his extreme talent and knack for putting the ball in the net.
Bennett is a much better all rounder with a greater ability to draw in other players into the game and seems to fit the team a little better rather than requiring the team to be structured around his ability.

Interesting that at their place last year they took the lead with a penalty after a clear dive in the box after Sinclair had been sent off for allegedly diving. Today was justice and they needed points today far more than they did last year

Clumsy tackle from behind on a bad pitch away from home = penalty more often than not. We’ve seen it before we’ll see it again and we’ve been waiting to see if “ these things even themselves up” since Plymouth where we were well and truly f**ked over by bad officials. UTG

Good summary. I don’t think he’ll score as many as Billy but he certainly links well and you can see our players trust him with the ball we were looking to get it out to him a lot today and the bad pitch doesn’t seem to stop him playing his skills and tricks.

Agreed not a pen, however happy to take it as we have had many a better shout turned down this season not to mention some of the dismal decisions that have been given against us. UTG

I have to agree with others on saying that wasn't a penalty but I've seen them given before and on the balance of play we definitely deserved to win the game. Nice goal from Telford too which is promising and we seem to have have found another talent in Bennett.
Poor defending for their goal it should have been cleared and the problem dealt with prior but it is a decent finish from their player. Overall just happy with the three points, back to winning ways and we go to Fleetwood with something to play for. UTG

Fair play to Bennett. His contributions vital to both goals and he looks like he’ll be a big player for us next year. Bola was weak for the goal and then who scuffed the clearance? Was it Lines or Parts? (Difficult to make out on a small screen). Spent the afternoon in bloody IKEA with the missus and the little ‘un. Always the same. What’s meant to be a quick visit turns out to take 5 hours. I genuinely feel like i’ve lost my sanity (as well as a fair wedge of cash) so the Gas winning has truly made my day.

Definitely not a penalty, but who gives a f*ck after the sh*t we were served up by the ref at Plymouth. They say decisions even themselves out, so hopefully there's plenty more where that one came from in our final 7 games!

Never a pen but after getting robbed vs Plymouth by a ref who clearly had been treated to an evening out with extras by Adams we deserved a stroke of luck.

Absolutely love Bennett. Box of tricks and an end product too.
Looks like he was unplayable at times today.
