Unfair on Byron. He’s only started a handful of games this season and has at least 3 assists, including one last week. I’ll update the stats on this later. I would give him a 1 year contract offer as I think he’s just about earned it in the second half of this season. He knows how to fit into DC’s varying formations and I think he can play his part next season for us, without being a standout player. The thing with Byron is that 10 games ago it didn’t seem like he was trying or that he had his head screwed on the right way. Fans will often cheer on a player who looks like they’re trying even if they are poor or have no end product. Recently he has vastly improved and looks like he is about to deliver stuff and half of the cheers for him are because he’s showing us what he’s made of. I think part of Byron’s resurgence is the rocket up his ass of needing a new contract at the end of the season so I think I’d give up to Christmas if possible so he’s fighting for his livelihood. To be fair he probably knew he had little chance of keeping Bodin out of the starting 11, since his departure he seems a different player. Still like to see him take on his foot back a bit more rather than cutting back.

Last time I leave before the end, missed the goal. There was a game at Eastville in the 70s v Cardiff - my Dad dragged me away on 88 mins at 1-0 down. Just caught the equaliser as we descended the steps from the North Stand. Lots of roars as we made our way back to the car and the radio on the way out of the ground told us Rovers had won 3-2. NEVER leave early.....

Last time I leave before the end, missed the goal. I trust you had a good reason for leaving? I just don’t get this whole leave before the end thing. This is not a personal dog at you, Clockend but it ain’t over until the final whistle. I sometimes wonder if the hoards pouring down the steps from the stand actually understand the first thing about football or “get” Rovers at all? We were one down in what had been an entertaining game and as things were emerging, the result was in the finest balance. We were throwing everything we had at them, in my view there was every chance that we were going to score.

I thought we matched them pretty well today, and they didn’t look too special. It wasn’t like we were totally outplayed or anything, but we did seem to give them lots of space. I also thought that it was one of Ollie’s better performances, and just a shame that both Kyle and Ellis took too many touches when they had really good opportunities in the first half. A draw was probably a fair result in the end.

I always like to clap them off too. I never leave until the last player is down the tunnel.

Fair result, Gaffers as a bloke behind me said reacts to things he never anticipates anything, and his thought process is too slow, 100 per Center but we need better. We ain’t a million miles off it, just need more quality, thought Broadbent looked dodgy today, and Locks passing wayward. Moore looks good in possession and thought super Ellis should have scored in second half, needed to hit it first time.

Well worth a draw today thought once again we've more than matched a top side in this division. Plenty of reasons to be positive going into next season. A little bit extra quality added in the summer with some of the development players pushing on & we'll have a squad that can have a real shot at the top 6. On another note my daughter was mascot today the players & staff could not have been better they were all more than happy to sign autographs & pose for pictures they were brilliant, one very happy little gashead in our household this evening.

Agreed. The big test/challenge is to more than match these teams Away from home. As DC said we need that extra 10% quality (and maybe more) to really look like promotion hopefuls next season. Quality up top with Ellis, out on the right mid, 1 or 2 new full backs and in CM - unless Sercombe is going to be allowed to play their more.

No i dont normally leave till the teams gone off the pitch, really couldnt see us getting a break and as the result was not that vital i thought id get home and catch the end of the national. Didnt get any luck with gasline boy, but at least the teds lost, so happy days.

Gaf set up the goal and nearly set one up just before that I think he’s decent league 1 level but certainly not championship material.

Well done gas, sounded like a good performance. Pleasing to hear Mo Bag got a few minutes of first team action as well. Exciting times to see some of the development squad starting to get game time. And good to know the players are still fighting for everything with a late winner - would be easy to let the season fizzle out now we are out of the play-off race. Probably not really DC's style I guess!
If you need a laugh though check out the John Snout post-match interview - transcript is on the Evil Post website. Ranting about ball boys with towels, moaning about lack of resources (yes, seriously!), generally talking utter meaningless management speak drivel. The guy is clueless. Pretty happy that he's best chums with Lansdown and can therefore sustain this level of incompetence and stay in the hot seat...

A good game and a much deserved point against an expensively assembled side, with some experienced and quality players.
I don't particularly want to single any one out for praise because it was a good team display, but I thought Byron Moore was deservedly MOTM and Baghdadi showed some promise when he came on.
Well done to DC and the lads. A thoroughly enjoyable game and performance.

I left early against Scunthorpe, been on crutches for a while and tried to beat the foot traffic to make my walk back a little easier, 1-0 down, one of the worst performances in years and we equalised as I got to the houses at the entrance to the car park. Legs were really playing up today and considered leaving after the free kick, glad I didn't now Not as bad as the time I went to an away game about 7/8 years ago, had the shits, missed both our goals and we lost 3-2 😂

Great batting point but cannot understand the substitutions of 2 of the best players on the pitch , Bennett man of match he is a class above everyone else in our team , during the second half especially the beard would have loved to have been involved in that game right up his street

It didn’t work last week and it didn’t work this week either. Long balls lumped up to Harrison who can be relied upon to win the ball, but if there is no one to knock it down to then it all breaks down. Gaffney helped out last week but the same change this week didn’t have the same impact.

Ellis and Byron had run their socks off for 65 minutes - Blackburn were a good side.

Whilst Moore did quite well, I can't help but get frustrated by him. He is too safe for me and never looks to take risks or really beat his man. He always comes back inside and looks for the safe option. Someone above said he is good in possession, which yes he is but sometimes you need to be willing to take risks. Especially in the position he plays in.
