Hates: I am sat down, so having to stand up at least 2 times during each half to let past the same people needing a water, then again 5 mins before half time so they can get food, and 5 mins before the end to get out quickly.
I swear I don't know why some people bother going.

Watch Stoke occasionally and it is a nightmare up and down all game.Make it difficult with my reluctance to move and telling them the game isn't that bad.On the plus side at the Wolves game some old boy chastised one bloke for his swearing in front of women and children and it worked a treat.

Love that fact that we are at the mem, after 10 years of going to twerton I never thought we would get back to Bristol. Hate the way the club markets itself.Wait to the lead up to new season, City will run a massive advertising campaign ( posters radio ads etc) & we will do nothing.

Love this thread. Loads of loves, excited anticipation before the game (still the same after a lifetime) and watching others who appear to feel the same. Walking up Gloucester Rd with everyone else, Going with my son as I did with my Dad (as gas 1970). Irene, The Thatchers, The quarters, Seeing us score, Winning.
Hates.Losing, Standing by a moaner,Standing by someone who thinks he is a pundit on MOTD.

Love the piglet premium sausage rolls, the first half performance at home to Wigan, the first half performance away to Blackburn Rovers. Hate alcohol being served in plastic pint pots. The awful fast premature trigger singing of “when the gas go marching in” (doesn’t anybody ever listen to the way Tottenham sing it .) slow down ffs, absolute the way BRFC managers say they want to get into the championship and then ALWAYS sell our best players.

Love: When we score. The noise that follows; The "old" pasties. Meeting old mates. Going home after a win Hate: Crappy ground. People arriving at 2.59, smelling of booze and pushing people out of the way. The rain

Love- The build up to the game and the 10 pints! Getting the train from Cardiff and a couple of tinnies on the way. Hate- The Sunday morning hang-over. The journey back when we've lost.

I never really get the night games but it is a common like of many people. I prefer the Saturday games myself. Monkhouse was an excellent signing, very effective and almost forgotten about now. He was good in the air, popped up with a few goals, technically fairly decent and good brain. Allowed Brown to get forward. Where is he now? Saturday games at the start of the season - when it's sunny everyone is in t-shirts, high spirits and optimism of the new season is always a like. Andy Monkhouse was so underrated by some but imho a vital player to us in our promotion season. Always scores a good goal and won a lot of headers out wide and could spot a pass. Seems his career has faded since he left us for Grimsby then Alfreton - maybe he had a final swan song with us On 7 July 2017 he signed a one-year deal with Northern Premier League side Whitby Town according to Wikipedia. Who knows next season or if he finally hangs his boots up ? He is playing part-time for Whitby, but also coaching at Leeds City College football academy. uk.linkedin.com/in/andy-monkhouse-b3b95bb1
