Hi all, I've gathered up all of the ratings from this season into a spreadsheet and can reveal some interesting statistics about this season. So far this season Darrell Clarke has used 18 different players in his starting line-ups. These are the scores split into three groupings. Top Six | Trotman 6.62 | Taylor 6.44 | Mildenhall 6.43 | Sinclair 6.26 | Mansell 6.15 | Cunnington 6.02 | Middle Six | Brown 5.94 | Lockyer 5.93 | Parkes 5.81 | Gosling 5.76 | Martin 5.66 | Leadbitter 5.53 | Bottom Six | Monkhouse 5.39 | Clarke 5.19 | Brunt 4.46 | Puddy 4.33 | White 4.07 | McChrystal 4.01 |
Harrison averages 6.32 from substitute appearances. Number of Man of the Match Awards: Martin 3Trotman 2 ( 4 times runner-up) Taylor 2 ( 2) Mansell 2 ( 1) Mildenhall 2Cunnington 1 ( 1) Parkes (3) Brown (2) Leadbitter (1) As for the people who take the time to contribute ratings, the top three 'positive' posters (three game minimum) are: Wembley_Gas 6.95 (average starting player rating per game) ganymede 6.68 parrot 6.55 The most 'negative' posters are: seanclevedongas 5.12 unigas 5.75 (didn't realise I was that harsh with my ratings) pirate49 5.91 Obviously these are affected by which games you go to see, but I found it interesting. Everyone's ratings are appreciated, but special mentions must go to stevek192 and meadgas who have rated 8 and 7 matches respectively. GasHeadBlues and Henbury Gas not far behind with 6 matches.

For me the interesting discovery was that despite being our 4th best player, Sinclair has no MotM awards (or runner ups). At the other end of the spectrum, Martin has had 3 MotM awards yet is only our 11th best player.

Martin is very hit and miss it appears and I read that on the Luton before when we signed him. The likes of Trotman, Taylor, Cunnington, Sinclair etc are consistently putting in good performances.

Interesting because I'm pretty sure Sinclair has had a least 2 mom awards called out at the home games.

Obviously, posters on here don't think he stands out as much as the sponsors do.

All of that info tell's me one thing. We need to offer Trottman a contract pretty sharpish,or there will be other's sniffing around. We don't want another Turley situation to develop. Good work by the way Uni.

FFS don't let DC see this, he'll call a press conference, and walk out!

It looks like Cunnington was more consistent than perhaps we gave him credit for before he left?
On the flip side Brunt & White are as poor as they appear to have been!
It's amazing achievement for Trotman to have an average score greater than LDV achieved in his MOTM performance on Saturday.

I said a while ago that Cunnington will maybe get appreciated more after he's gone back to Cambridge. He was very effective overall.

Tom parkes back to his best. Must be worth a few quid. Think we have a few players in the squad worth some money now.
