Interesting that ND said that the UWE deal was not in the interests of Rovers.

I'm sure if the deal was in the interests of Rovers then they would have signed....sort of quoted as i can't quite hear the missing bit....

Attachment DeletedGreat listening.Have to say in my long life I have been let down life changingly badly on only three occasions and relegation to the Conference was one of those.Club really rag -bag Rovers then and going to Alfreton and Braintree was as bad as it has ever been.Faith restored now under DC and the Lee brown winner against D&R was euphoric.On reflection our demise has proved a blessing in the long run and can't wait for the new season.

I know something about Nick Higgs that he didn't mention. I'm glad he has gone, as well as the thing I know he played his own 40year old record collection and he shouted in to a mic, not needed. Vince will be a lot better

I enjoyed that, thanks for posting. I agree with his view that we were never really sold the dream of unlimited investment by fabulously wealthy new owners. From the outset, a lot of us cringed every time the Al Qadis were treated like wallets on legs. Much as I rate Nick Day, he was one of the worst offenders. Unless he's forgotten the 'lend us a tenner' comment he made on introducing them to us at the Mem  So much for the famed British reserve when it comes to talking about money! I laughed out loud when he made his feelings for O'Toole quite clear as he told the story of the incident where he took a punch from an angry crowd,. There have been so many times that I've heard it said by people who have known O'Toole that fans were looking for a scapegoat when we went down and that he was it - it's nice to hear it suggested that he really was no great shakes by someone who would know. |

Excellent interview with an honest man who has seen and heard a lot more than he has revealed on here for sure.
I believe he is right about the owners and if we ALL supported them fully (as I believe DC is doing) and helped wherever we can then in due time our football club will be where we want it to be.
