Not sure about that. Is there one of our players who would get in their side? Our best player went there and he can't. What we do have is the far superior manager. We also have a fantastic team spirit. This might, one time in ten maybe, take us to victory over them but we can't get away from them being much, much better than us off and on the pitch. It hurts, but it's true unfortunately.

If ball 7 does get paired with ball 6 I get the feeling that it won’t mean anywhere near as much to the majority of the players as it would the fans. It’s not like an annual north London, Manchester or Merseyside derbies where there is some lively history between certain individuals. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if the stats show that none of the current personnel have faced each other at all, unless it’s across the bar on holiday. And yes I know there is a certain Squamata who would add some spice to the proceedings if he played or even just named on the bench as part of the mind games.
All I can see happening is the inevitable media stoked, alcohol fuelled violence and subsequent national tv shame irrespective of the result. The idiots amongst both sides will just use abuse the occasion. I hope that we don’t draw them because I would prefer Squiffy junior’s first experience of a local derby to be a league match (preferably in the Championship, but more humorously in League 1 2019/20) where there is slightly less riding on the result. In a cup competition game there can only be one winner and that ‘s the problem as it will be the trigger for some.
....phew, ok, it’s sunny, I’ll go and get some happy pills and keep my fingers crossed we draw Saudi Arabia.

Seeing as we seldom get into the second round of any cup these days it might as well be that lot at their place, At least we would make a few bob We got to the third round of the cup last year and the season before we played Chelsea after beating Cardiff so this has been a successful cup for us, it tends to be the FA cup that we don't do so well in these days. Successful is surely stretching the facts. We have only got past the first round seven times in the last sixteen seasons and have only once in that time got to the third round . In 2002 we actually went out before the first round.

I would say it was stretching the facts either as for me the best couple of away days over the last couple of years have been Wolves and Chelsea away in the league cup.

On the pitch they're miles ahead of us, and with the money they spend, they should be.

Home to Crawley City home to Plymouth. We were 1 ball away from City! How exciting! Away attendance of 35 in a crowd of 3,000 will really set the pulses racing.

Crawley at home, City were drawn the next ball after!
Nice winnable games for both so we can hopefully get it on in the 2nd Round!
