Just out of interest, how do you know there are only 2 seats taken? May be completely wrong but if I select the flight I am then able to select seats from basically the whole plane (charhebale amd feee) with the exception of 2? Loads have booked, Obviously people have chosen the random seat option.

This is where people have to open their minds a bit. Exeter - Newcastle has already been mention. Cardiff - Newcastle is another easy option. Are there Bournemouth - Newcastle flights? Absolutely! You can go: Bristol to Amsterdam Amsterdam to Newcastle Newcastle to Amsterdam Amsterdam to Bristol For less than £100 at the moment!

Of course there is a risk it gets switched to a Friday or Sunday as Sunderland will get more tv coverage than the rest of the division put together!

Back in Amsterdam for a nice afternoon coffee and cake.

All these people saying go to this airport and that. At what stage do you just say sod it and drive up instead! I can't go because of the date but if I did then I would drive up and stay the weekend.

Currently: 15/12/18 Bristol (06:15) to Schipol (08:45/12:25) to Newcastle (12:40) 16/12/18 Newcastle (06:00) to Schipol (08:25/13:00) to Bristol (13:15) All times are local times - £190 Book through Google Flights not KLM: www.google.com/flights#If travelling the same day gives you the willies in case of delay, you can travel up the day before BRS (09:00) to AMS (11:15/16:30) to NEW (16:45) for the same price. Just means an extra nights stay

Thinking the same, set off at 6am Saturday morning and you'll probably be in Sunderland before somebody flying to Newcastle then, getting a train/taxi/bus to Sunderland. With airport parking, flights and taxis you're probably looking at the best part of £300. It'll be interesting to see what the supporters club arrange as a coach journey there and back in one day seems heavy going.
