It wouldn’t surprise me at all that the next time there is a Bristol derby match (whenever that is) the authorities will seriously consider if it should be played behind behind closed doors, and who could blame them. The behaviour at the last one was a disgrace and it appears nothing has changed since. Watching the sport you love should be an exhilarating, not life threatening, experience.

...trouble is, how do you work out who is the away support when the majority will have Bristol, or at least local, addresses?

They looked more like Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, any team doing well in the Prem type of 'supporters' . Might be wrong but who knows ? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Heaven forbid these boys ever came across eachother in Ikea! more furniture thrown than punches. It's amazing what a couple of ciders and sun can do to people.

How do we know they are Rovers/City fans? Could be your typical Withywood family having their usual argument about how to spend their benefit money!

Just ban any away support from the match and do a free beam back Or just police the game properly by preventing pitch invasions and making arrests rather than just ushering people back to their seats. The complete lack of action after that game was laughable. Did the bloke who was caught on camera spitting at Ellis ever get punished?

Unfortunately the only way said bellends will learn is prosecution and even then it doesn't always work.

Banning Orders on the way, so will be a few less idiots at both grounds next season. Can you give out banning orders for events not based around a matchday? I'm pretty sure the club can ban them but not an official banning order?

I'm pretty sure the club can ban them but not an official banning order? If they are found guilty in Court, the police will be applying for banning orders as the incident was football related. Whether it will be classed as City/Rovers or England related, I don't know.

I notice the OP has deleted his original post. Bit pointless when you can see what he put from Lord Justice Gashead's reply. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

The only evident sign was that you can hear one of them shouting "GHS" (Gas Hit Squad) The chants of GHS is easy to explain , it could of been the firm of the GOLDEN HILL SONICS also know as the GHS. They ply their trade in the Avon youth league ages 8-16. Those under 9s are a vicious bunch !
