I like Rodman - a good solid performer, but Im pretty sure a few years ago DC saying he wanted young hungry players !? We have plenty of young, hungry players, Broadbent, Lockyer, Mensah, Meneyese, Matthews and Harrison for instance. The key is fitting them around older more experienced pros to get a good mixture of experience and youthfulness in equal measure, something which we are close to achieving in my opinion.

I agree with that but tbf it doesn't hurt to have two or three older experienced players in the squad to help develop and nurture younger squad members. true. just quoting DC's thoughts.

Monkhouse and Mansell were seasoned pro's who's experience was instrumental in getting us out of the conference at the first attempt. If he's only half as good as Monkhouse, then yes please. haha that was the conference,he belonged there that’s why he went to Grimsby We’re in l1 now so half as good as monkhouse is not even making the squad Think you'll find he was offered another deal at Rovers but chose to leave as he wanted to be at a club nearer his home in Leeds. Total leagues appearance 436 with 58 goals. 42 games (ever present) 8 goals and a number of assists for Rovers. If a wide midfielder can score half the goals and assists he provided, then yes please. Who do you think is good enough?

I don't think Andy Monk house was everyone's cup of tea, I thought he was an asset to the squad personally' and I was a little sad that he did not resign. Still, 12 months later and we were celebrating another promotion so it all worked out.

People were still asking for Cureton back when he was 35/36/37/38/39.... exactly. We will still be having that conversation when his balls are swinging round his knees.
