What's that got to do with a trade deal? We trade on WTO terms at the minute, have they threatened higher tariffs if we don't grant all these Visas which you seem to think they want, or are you just trying to provoke an argument over immigration? Best you read up a bit Oldgas Read? There is reading and then there is understanding.

Best you read up a bit Oldgas What's new in any of the reading up? As far back as 2016 turncoat May was talking to India about doing a deal and visas were part of the discussion. It probably meant nothing in reality, because if that cow had got her surrender deal we would probably have been forbidden by the EU from striking our own deals with any other country. As I understand it we are still negotiating with India and of course there is now no interference from the EU. The subject of a visas are part of the discussion, however as a small, crowded island we are keen to manage this aspect and want a guarantee from India that the will accept back their people who have overstayed their visa time limit. I don't see a problem with any of that, or reaching an agreement on those terms, do you? Oh, and most of the references I found were in The Guardian, as you might expect, because they're always keen to publish anything they can to throw doubt on BREXIT. So I would advise having a tablespoon of salt handy. And Oldie, if you've managed to find time away from your Marxist-Capitalist trading with the world business to read this, you can go and * yourself.

He then interestingly said thats with the exception of anything political, because then they become ridiculous marxist idiots etc. Which is funny, because I very much doubt their style of writing suddenly changes completely, more just that OldGas doesn't like what they're saying. The comment did make me laugh though, "and of course there is now no interference from the EU". When did the EU get involved in any India-UK trade deal? It's just making something up and then using that to drive home a point that doesn't exist in the first place. Disappointing to see such language again in here from a certain side. I believe that only FranceGas & trevor are the only ones not to abuse others at this point?

To be fair we couldn't have a bilateral deal with India as trade was through the EU, so he does have a point there, however the trade is not huge and the EU and India have been in talks for some time. What I do find funny is the notion that this is some sort of Brexit bonus, it won't even start to make good the damage nor does the (non EU) immigration rules, something always in our gift.

Ps love the fact that he had to go off and read up , took him a day or so . No, working shifts and having a family life means that sometimes I don't have time to immediately respond. I do have to admire the likes of Oldie though. Here he is, a man who has conducted business with every country ever mentioned on this forum, yet he has the time to immediately make what he thinks is shrewd and pithy comment and Officer Dibble has the time to make completely inaccurate observations. Yatton, I know you are desperately upset that I haven't railed against us doing a deal with India that may allow a bit more immigration in return for better trading arrangements and some kind of arrangement where they will accept back their people who have overstayed. Far better that than being in the EU's pocket where we have to accept unfettered access, interference with our laws and the theft of much of our fishing stock. Oh, and of course we won't have to pay India £15 billion a year for the priveledge. Whats not to like? we'll be free in just over a month! Get the champagne in the fridge boys, we're gonna have a party. Not you Oldie, you Marxists don't approve of such Capitalist frivolity.
