Simple cross into the box....striker had no challenge. People keep saying it, but Lockyer and Craig are not physical enough. But the goal was all down to Locks losing the player he was supposed to be marking, although where was the left back/winger to cut out the cross in the first place? |

I get the feeling there are some who would love us to lose just so they can say I told you so and continue their board/manager/player bashing. Get a grip. Can't wait for the meltdown, if it hasn't already started. |

Harrison's Ipswich are 1 up too. Gaffney scored the winner for Salford. We have Nichols up front! Just the facts before anyone lambastes me! We are losing because we failed to defend a cross. What has that got to do with Nichols?? Get behind the lad ffs, how is scapegoating him at every opportunity going to help anything? |

I think even the most optimistic of fans expected a loss today and the first 15mins haven’t really altered that. If we don’t strengthen the team by next Saturday, there will be a meltdown and rightly so. |

Not being negative here but just realistic. The formation and line up to me is all wrong. So the start to this game is completely expected. So how would you have started, with no CF's and Reilly not fully fit/OC suspended I can't see DC had many options, Locks would have always started and he gave away the goal anyway. |

None of us want the team to lose, but we can all see where we lack - a physical presence at the back and up front being the two obvious things that mean we a) are weak at the back, and b) won't score many goals. Not a recipe for success.
Perhaps today, so far, will bring it home to those with the purse strings.

Unfortunately our defence doesn't look like it will keep clean sheets like last year. But you can't expect to get many points if you're relying on Nichols. Not scapegoating, his record speaks for itself. |

Amadou Bakayoko not even on Walsall's bench today so I assume he's going somewhere next week, although posters on Walsall's forum reckon the £35K signing they've just made from from Boreham Wood looks a better player!
