Smith 4 we won't get anywhere without a decent keeper, am looking forward to see who DC brings in
Leadbitter 6 Lockyer 6 Craig 5 J. Clarke 7 not who we want at left back but did a great job on Lowe and got forward plenty
Bennett 5 Upson 5 O. Clarke 6 would have got a 7 but for giving the ball away for the winner Sercombe 4 Pants, what has happened to his shooting boots, could have got a hat trick on Saturday and a couple again last night
Nichols 6 Payne 6 quietest game so far
Subs: Lines 6 though sending off was harsh in real time and haven't seen the highlights yet Jakubiak Nole Rodman Nole (or is a mole according to SK)
Crowd 8 best atmosphere so far home and away Ref 4 always crap Portsmouth 8 looked better than Posh

Smith 4 Unconvincing
Leadbitter 6.5 Didn't get forward quite as much as he can. Under orders? Lockyer 7 OK, but we need a commanding CB Craig 6.5 As above. We need a CB to take charge. J. Clarke 8 Played his socks off
Bennett 7 Not everything comes off, but a constant irritant to the opposition Upson 6.5 Didn't do much wrong playing in front of back four...but that's it O. Clarke 5.5 Still not up to it. Plays with a scowl on his face. Sercombe 6 Guilty of two costly misses. Otherwise sound game
Nichols 6.5 Tidy, but promise needs to be fulfilled. Didn't like his body language when subbed. Payne 7 Quieter game, but still a threat
Subs: Lines 6 Took penalty well, but bluddy stupid challenge Jakubiak 6 Looked promising, but nowhere as good as Payne at winning the ball in the air Rodman NOLE
Crowd 7 Considering Pompey brought a load just over 9,000 must be disappointing Ref 6 Generally OK Portsmouth 7 Scored two goals from open play...that's how you win games.

Wonder if Reilly would have scored if he'd played last night!

Smith 4 - Poor kicking looks short of confidence Leadbitter 6 - Didnt put many decent crosses in J. Clarke 8 MOM - Not bad for makeshift left back Lockyer 7 - Ok Craig 7 - Showed some guile Bennett 7.5 - Was in the mood against his old club O Clarke 7 - Tried Upson 6.5 - Ok but faded Sercombe 6.5 - Should have scored then it would be a different game Payne 6.5 - Kept quiet by massive centre backs Nicholls 7.5 - Looked dangerous needs a goal
Lines 2 - Cost us the match ultimately Jakubiak 6.5 - Looked useful Rodman - NOLE
Ref 6 - Was it a pen in the first half Crowd 9 D.C. 8 Cant help people getting sent off!! Pompey 7 Will be up there

Smith 6.5 - No chance for either goal but poor distribution. Leadbitter 7 - Offered good width in 2nd half & nice crosses. J. Clarke 8 - Played superbly out of position in both attack & defence. Lockyer 3 - Didn’t jump for 1st goal & too hesitant for 2nd. Craig 5.5 - Solid generally but bullied for Pompey’s winner. Bennett 7.5 - Very tricky & lively but final ball often lacking. O Clarke 7 - Busy & combative. Upson 6 - Quieter of the two CMs & beaten in air in leadup to 1st goal. Sercombe 6.5 - Drifts in & out when on left & should have scored? Payne 6 - Quiet game. Nichols - 7.5 - Best BRFC game so far & something to build on.
Lines 4 - Hero to zero. Jakubiak 6 - Lively but should have made it 2-2. Rodman N/A
Ref 6 Crowd 7.5 D.C. 8 Pompey 8
