For me, it's the Left Back position that is a worry. If we got a good loanee in at LB, then J Clarke could move over to RB. For me, Leadbitter is not required. Not good enough defensively, nor as an attacking full-back. It's a funny old game...walking out listening to some Pompey fans chatting and they were all in agreement that leadbetter was MOM and posed a real threat with his pace down the wing.
A lot of players appear to look decent because they move quickly with the ball, but when you actually look at what they do at the end of it, in Leadbitter's case it is usually very little.

Why does Wael own this club he’s a disingenuous fake
I've often wondered why he took over this club as he has no chance of getting any money back unless we get a new ground that will generate income during the week rather than once a fortnight.
As there is no further investment on the playing side he better hope we have enough in the locker to survive relegation as looking at the games on ifollow I am worried we might not.
Knives will be out if we go down and they will be aiming at Wael.

From today's Bristol Post "From what I understand Bristol Rovers will only be bringing in a new goalkeeper before the transfer window closes, due to financial constraints there are no plans to bring in other players" Having listened to DC's pre-match interview at lunch time that also gives a similar impression. Surely the funds for a new keeper are slocombes wages were saving so how skint are we? That's if Lincoln are paying the bulk of Slocombes wages. |

Training ground - how could costs suddenly have tripled he’s supposed to be a savvy businessman.Underinvestment on the playing side Evolution what does that mean.Disingenuous that word has many meanings

Colony is still ongoing and is going through another Evolution cycle, something which is more cost effective for our small club |

My final post on the subject of Wael as this Is the match day thread and I am more interested in watching Tom Nichols improve further from his recent positive form.Yes we are a small club at tha moment but we are based in the 8th biggest City in the country and the biggest in the south of England bar London.Surely we can do better than this and attract investment from people the vision and capability to exploit this

Hoping for an emphatic win today - it's my birthday tomorrow, and the result could set the tone for the rest of the weekend!  Unfortunately Smith between the sticks doesn't inspire me with confidence, fingers crossed that he has a good one. |
