Deal to sell club is virtually a done deal. New owners will be a construction company from Hampshire plus Ed Ware and Nick Higgs like I mentioned earlier. Stadium back on course with a better deal than previous. Construction company will build stadium at no cost to club who will own it in exchange for Mem. They will cover costs by building a large number of houses on Mem site. Wael to retain 10% shares. That is what I heard today, not sure how accurate...dont shoot the messenger! Not shooting any messenger.....and fine in theory.... but where does PP sit in all this wheeling and dealing? Surely no one is going to splash the cash without some sort of way ahead with that side of things? Guess with houses all around it shouldn't be an issue but you can never take these things for granted I should think. No idea, all I know is what I posted. That was virtually word for word what I had texted to me today. I'll try and find out more details.

Don’t need to provide proof. Just letting you know. I’m sat happy in the knowledge that all will be good.

From the Bristol Post:
"(Tom Gorringe) said: “ "In terms of the infrastructure we’ve three new bars, a new shop, electronic turnstiles, ten new partners, so all of those have been huge projects really given the amount of time we’ve had.
Spurs aside who have built a new stadium this summer, which has been delayed also, there’s probably not another club in the country who has seen the amount of change we have in the summer. The projects I listed earlier, you might see a club attempt one, maybe two of them, not all of them at the same time. All of them work, financially.
All of those will help support the long-term ambition of the football club and all of those had to happen now because delaying them any further effectively effects whether they are financially viable. We had to take it on.”
Are these the comments you would expect to read from a club who are planning a new or redeveloped stadium in the near future?
I'm cringing about the comparison with Spurs.

If a new stadium was announced tomorrow, then we’re still 3 seasons away from being in it. The status quo is unsustainable regardless, so making self financing improvements that then show a profit, is surely a no brainier, even if a takeover/investment is imminent. As for mentioning Spurs, I think he was just pointing out that even the largest and best financed projects can be subject to delays.

So if you were the stadium manager, and the owner asked you what you wanted to do with the Mem during the time we either move out of it or rebuild it, you would say "I think we should spend more money on it than we have in the last 22 years".

If your customers are complaining about the poor state of the facilities - and the stadium manager says, I can get the shop re-build largely paid for by Macron, Thatchers will cover the bar refurbishments and the temporary stands will be covered by the sponsorship I’ve sorted, after that everything’s profit - you’re going to say don’t bother, we’ll carry on for a couple more years with deteriorating facilities making less income. Seriously?

I have to be honest, I have been in the “Trust Wael” camp until now, but that latest bit of news about the Sh*t is such a mahoisive f**king slap in the face that I can’t justify that stance any longer. How can they just f**king sit there mouthing the occasional banality and hiding behind that “Evolution not Revolution” bollocks, when that shower of inbred sh** and their considerably-richer-than-yow owner have just announced a £100 million development? lady gardens . . . Where will we get the money from though? I'm as frustrated as anyone about the rate of progress at the club but I also remember pre-Al Qadi's when we were dependant on Wonga loans and in a very precarious financial position. We definitely need SOME progress though- if the Al Qadi's announced they were seeking partnerships for funding to develop the stadium I think everybody would be happy then. Hello neighbour

Why not?? If it can be financed through sponsorship and grants, so very little outlay for a 3 year return, why not indeed

I guess then there won't be too many seats in the new stadium. But seriously if the rumours are true then Nick Higgs is is surely the new Messiah. _ I Believe! He’s not the Messiah... he’s a naughty boy. (Not checked out his nose though. Roman Glass anyone?) And all that......😜

Shouldn't they come out and put the rumours to bed then? Maybe, but he also said on GT show that he and his family were committed and the club wasn't for sale....from his point of view, how many times does he need to say it. He also said that "all options were being considered", with the emphasis on 'all'.
