Very interesting listening to Ed Hadwin on Twentyman he seems convinced that it’s not down to Darrell and that not much in the way of investment was coming in the summer.
Also said that something is going down, and that there’s definitely interest, but they can’t find anything concrete.
Given that Darrell seems to not like him too much, and that he has the inside line from people at the club this is extremely interesting.

I’m sorry but you can’t blame the board for this. There’s only one person and it pains me to say it but it’s Darrell. He’s in charge of recruitment (which we did in the summer) he’s in charge of picking the team (Nichols should be loaned out to the conference and sold on in January) and he’s in charge of coaching Honestly, I think the board has backed him as well as the board has backed any manager. If Darrell had have bought a decent striker for 300K last year and found another half-decent striker in non-league, we'd actually have a pretty decent squad. Unless WAQ was playing upfront for Walsall, not sure why people are rounding on him in the face of a last minute winner. I agree in the sense that it seems very fickle, win next week and it's WAQ in. Personally I think it is about time they faced some concerted pressure from the fans to speak up and tell us what their long term strategy for the club is because 'confidentiality' is not good enough. Not anymore.

How many decent strikers were sold for 300k last year? and if they were available would they have wanted to come here with our poor facilities. The summer Striker signings were pretty much last minute arrivals, which to me indicates that they were not at the top of the wish list. At the end of the day we have what we have, let’s get behind them and see if we can improve he squad in January. Thing is, nobody knows what "clauses" players have in their contracts, which may allow them to talk with other clubs. Without the extra income a new/improved ground will bring in, we'll never be able to afford the wages a lot of the bigger teams in league one can offer. DC has to operate with that in mind, that said picking your best 11 & given them a run of games would build confidence, imo.

Who would want to take Nichols on loan? Who sold Taylor to city for peanuts? Who sold Bodin for next to nothing? Who sold Harrison? Bennett doesn’t look the same player! Sercombe doesn’t look the same player! There is more than meets the eye going on at this football club. We don’t even know who’s in charge ffs. Is it Wael? Is it Hani? Are the whole family in this together? If this was your job and your bosses had treated you the way DC has been treated, would you trust them? Would you want to continue working for them? Would your morale have slowly been torn out of you? I believe he’s attached to Bristol Rovers. I believe his heart is in it far more than any of the Al Wadis. I believe he wants to succeed but is being held back by certain people at the club. I believe he is constantly being undermined by people at this club. This is his livelihood, this is his career he’s putting on the line at this moment in time and I for one will be giving him my support! So since the Al Qadi family arrived what had been achieved? We arguably were on our way to getting promotion when they took over, they just lied to the fans who at that time I believe pushed our club to promotion with the enthusiasm and what now turns out to be false hope that this club would finally reach its potential. All that’s actually happened is we’ve gone backwards. No stadium No training ground Is our squad even as good as the one that got us promoted to league 1? Broken promises left, right and centre. The Al Qadis, Hamer etc, we’ll thats a far different story. Wael and co, I’ve booked you one way tickets to return to Jordan please take them ( they cost a lot of money) and don’t f**king come back!

Sorry to spam and put three on the bounce but I thought on the way back the folllowing. Who’s there to give Darrell a kick up the backside. Who’s there to prop him up and give him support. Who’s there to ‘give him counselling’ as he would say.
Darrell is still our prized asset, and it would break my heart to see him leave, but he needs support from someone right now.
Someone said on Twentyman that we should replace him with Holloway. I cringed at the suggestion but actually he could be the perfect man to offer up something like the above. Certainly not as a DOF but as someone who understands our club and these sorts of challenges as a manger like nobody else but Darrell himself.

Not anymore. Not for me. Win the next 20 and it's WAQ out for me. As long as they are staying though they should have the respect to show their faces and answer to some of the elephants in the room in an open way. The last we heard from Wael he was saying they are considering all options after consecutively dropping the stadium and training ground plans.

“Confidence on training pitch not translating to match days” says DC. We only see match day and judge them on that, why doesn’t the manager?! Bizarre

GUTTED!seconds away from a hard earned point against a better team than us, we all have opinions on how to improve things but we should all be on the same page regards support , we have to get behind the team what ever , abuse and derision never inspires any one to better things! theres no doubt we have a fight on our hands and i like others wish we could try a different approach as at the moment those selected are not doing it!Come on DC and staff you need to kick a few asses and us as fans have to give the team and DC our full backing, we can get out of this and climb the table if we all stick together, COME ON YOU BLUES ,UP THE ROVERS!!! I’d like to see us play our right footed players on the right and our left footers on the left. Our set up is so easy to play against because we’ve got little blokes up front and everyone’s in the middle. It’s like all our football is crammed in to the middle third of the pitch ( length wise ) and it’s so congested it’s impossible to create anything. I think it’s our biggest problem and has been all season. How many chances are Nichols , Reilly , Payne etc missing ? Not many because they never get any service because all our midfielders are central and can’t create anything. We miss brown and we miss montano . montano wasn’t snything special but he was a winger and it appears we haven’t got any at the moment and if we have then they’re played wrong side and end up in the bloody middle.

Exactly this!!! Was saying the same regarding right footed on the right and left on the left all second half! Our wide players always have to cut in onto their strong foot and it’s so predictable and sluggish. There was a chance where Leadbitter actually went past a player and pulled it back to Matthews, who, being left footed, had to let the ball come across him. Whereas had it been Sercombe playing on the right then he could have run onto the ball and buried it.

Yeah when we had Bodin cutting in from the right in to his his we still had montano as left winger on the left and when we had Monkhouse cutting in on his right from the left we always had a more natural winger on the other side. This season it’s so narrow I feel clostrophobic watching it.

Just listen on bbc catch up mate someone will put a link. Essentially said our best players keep leaving because we have no direction as a club, the red side of Bristol have unlimited money and we’re still stuck in the ‘dark ages’ Interesting listen and feel for him even more now. He bleeds blue and white.
