I'm not sure to be honest, but I think it's about 25,000 euro. The pay is higher here than in the UK, but living costs are also higher. For example, a married man with one child and dependent wife would probably pay 40% tax, plus health insurance which is calculated at 15% of the tax you pay (I think), although the employer would usually pay 50% of the health insurance. Land tax is another that doesn't appear in the UK. I own my house, and the land, but I still have to pay Land Tax, which works out at about 400 euro per quarter!
