We have Craig, Clarke, Partington and Menayese’s replacement. Four should be enough, that is even if Lockyer gets a call up when we are playing which is not a certainty in itself. We can’t really afford to have 6 CB, especially if the wages on Memeyese’s loan aren’t being fully covered. Meneyese needs to be playing, we can’t let him get rusty and not developing on the bench. Clarks and Partington might be ok for a game or 2. But would you be happy, playing them for a number of weeks of player's get injured or suspended. You can't count player's for every position. If we get injuries, are they going to play right back and centre back?? I’d be happy playing Clarke there, he’s probably been our player of the year so far and has always played well as part of a back three. I’d also be happy with playing Meneyese’s replacement there assuming he’s a natural CB of sufficient quality.

At the end of the window, I will rethink if it's a good move.

When you look at Bennett who is on supposedly £4k a week I wouldn't be surprised if Martin/Broadbent/Ruess/Bagdadi are not on that wage combined
and now we've got Slocombe back on our wage bill if they are adamant to stay within the FFP rules !
If we are trying to get a Proven lge1 striker & lf Wael & co will not donate then we will have to move on one or two more to give us a fighting chance
unfortunately if Bennett's wages are a benchmark then Upson/Payne/Rodman/Bonham/Craig's wages are all going to be top end I would imagine

B*ll*cks. Sorry, don't believe that for a second. I don't believe we have a single player on 4k a week.

I agree and Nichols won't be on low wages, considering what we paid for him. Plus with a number of players out of contract in the summer. We are probably looking at extending the deals, of the ones we want to keep. If we give them a pay rise. That will eat up more of the budget.

No pressure but if we lose tomorrow and still haven’t brought anyone in the atmosphere is going to be poisonous. And quite rightly so!

Menayese out on loan. (sounds like he's after cover rather than a starter) Broadbent asked to leave. Bonham staying. Oh dear ... Really like GC but after that my low ebb of confidence in us bringing in a striker and subsequently staying up has just drained. Admirable the way he talks the players up but we are bottom Four for a reason, they aren’t good enough or don’t care enough. Three days or so to go ... sheesh how depressing.

GC talking like we’re in mid table obscurity and the players are happy! Ffs we have given up.

Don’t like GC , he’s a yes man. I don’t give a sh** what anyone says but i still strongly believe that DC would of sorted this out. Reality will hit once we’re relegated back to league two without him. He had his first bad spell as a manager with us and he’s sent packing , never again will we have another manager like him who stood by us when Leeds came calling , he was sold a load of bollox like the rest of us !! DC was gas through and through and genuinely cared about the supporters , the players and the club.

If we go one goal down i can see the atmosphere either turning toxic or will us gasheads just sit and stand in silence knowing relegation looms and club is unable/unwilling to stop it!

No way would he have sorted us out,he wouldn’t listen to anyone but himself under DC the last 12 months we’ve been crap,he done well but set us up for relagation after 3 good seasons now GC got a hell of a job on his hands especially when fans are still crying over DC. Cant see wael and co helping him out with any money to bring in what we need the players DC failed to sign with a decent budget.

All about opinions mate , GC not for me , We will see how much we miss DC when we’re relegated and struggling in league two , kinda like when we got rid of trolls , history repeating itself
