Damn good match last night and on the whole we showed a lot to give us confidence. The sheer work rate and pressing high up the pitch was impressive.
I thought we sat too deep over the last 15 mins and allowed Posh to come forward and their goal cake as a result, hell of a strike tho.
Nichols was excellent the initial decision to take Reilly off then change the board to Nichols was a bit odd. Did Nichols ask to come off or something? Injury?

Nicho saw the board and went over to Reilly to tell him I suppose to stay on, as Reilly stopped walking off,

Yes, unfortunately he either had a slight injury or was cramping. Not sure which but he did go over the the bench when Reilly's number was held up and spoke to GC.
Pity because Nichols wasn't just our best player, he was the best player on the pitch last night. Outstanding performance and another quality penalty.
Reilly worked incredibly hard but just hasn't got Nichol's class. If we could find a quality partner for Tom we might have half a chance.
First 45 was probably the best of the season. We couldn't quite keep the pace up second half but defended well and restricted them to very few chances.
Unfortunate to concede a worldy at the end but lots of positives to take from that performance. If we can continue to play at that level we might just survive.

whilst I don't disagree GC has to step up tactically in that situation. Reilly going off and changing the formation was as bad a subs as any that can be levelled at DC. And the players have to stop being naïve when trying to close the game out. It's not pretty or particularly sporting, but you need to knock someone off the ball, give away some cheap fouls in the midfield to kill the flow of the game

I was surprised that he took Nichols off and not Reilly though. Reilly did ok tonight but Nichols was the best player on the pitch and seemed to have more energy left than his partner too. 10 minutes after the sub it became even clearer than Reilly was shattered and then we made another change bringing Reilly off and went to 5 at the back . I would have just subbed Reilly for Jak and left the shape but overall can’t hsve too many complaints about tonight or the last 7-8 games or whatever it is. Before DC was sacked I was certain we were going down but now I’m not so sure. I think we’ve got a good chance of staying up but I really want to see Nichols played alongside Jakubiak, as I think with Nichols creativity and Jakubiaks strength and poaching Nichols could put him through 1 on 1 rather than us forcing it so much. UTG Totally agree with all of this ...

Just our luck this season to concede at the death, worryingly it's bad luck like that which gets teams relegated.

Trouble is we ended up going so deep any fouls are going to be in dangerous areas.
.On the flip side when we have the ball how come we win relatively few free kicks to disrupt the game when a team like Wycombe go down win free-kicks and waste time ad infinitum, yet we can't buy a free kick. It can all be because the refs are poor, I mean we had Campbell in the past that would always know how to use his body and get a free kick and disrupt the game
As I say tactically the sub was poor, but the players are also naïve to kill a game to a degree I believe.

Agree, really good performance last night, but we played right into there hands, by dropping soo deep. Against very good footballing sides is stupid. Had we kept on pressing, probably would of got 3 points.

Or as my mate GHB said last night, Jermaine Easter was the last player we had who had all the tricks to rundown a game and con the ref. Could have done with him last night.
