Bonham 7 Not much to do bar one fine save towards end of first half
J. Clarke 7 Lockyer 9 MoM. Out of contract at end of season? Galling to think he could go for nothing. Craig 8.5 Kelly 7
Upson 7 O. Clarke 5 Lots of frowning and one cracking shot Ogogo 6 Sercombe 5 Very lightweight performance
Nichols 6 Ball seldom seems to run for him Clarke-Harris 8 Opposition will always know he's there!
Subs: Jakubiak 7.5 Direct and threatening Sinclair NOLE
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Tried hard to let the game run in difficult conditions Charlton 7.5 Enough to say that all around me thought this was a point gained.

Bonham 7.5 One great save and always gave confidence to the defence
J. Clarke 6.5 Defensively good but lacked a positive attacking influence Lockyer 9 Couple of small errors but a masterful performance Craig 8 very sound performance Kelly 6 Adequate performance, good at times but poor at times
Upson 6.5 Improved as the game went on. If he did not lack pace he could be a very good player O. Clarke 6 Mixed performance. One great strike, worked hard but numerous errors Ogogo 6.5 Hard working performance with good ball winning Sercombe 5 Felt sorry for him. In his best position but missed lots of tackles and interceptions. A yard off the pace.
Nichols 5.5 Did not influence the game as he can and there was no goal threat either Clarke-Harris 7.5 Not his best game but great effort, won lots of free kicks and almost scored with a good free kick
Subs: Jakubiak 7 Looked lively when he came on and looked a goal threat as well. Good impact player against a tired defence Sinclair NOLE
Crowd 7 Ref 7.5 was quite lenient but let the game flow which was good. Took a long time to make up his mind at times. Always fooled by JCH's willingness to go to ground easily. Charlton 8 Looked to have some very good players. Goalie made a world class save and the right back (who is a class above this league) a great saving tackle in the second half

Subs: Jakubiak 7.5 Sinclair null
Crowd 8 Ref 7 kept his cards in his pocket Charlton 8

Is Locks out of contract in the summer? He signed a new deal in Jan 2018, the length of which was ‘undisclosed’, but described as ‘long ferm’ in this article at the time: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-star-defender-tom-1043031.ampAdmittedly this is the BP so not taking it as gospel.

Not totally sure, hence the '?'.....terrace talk on Saturday. I suppose it depends how long term long term is.
Come the end of the season it will be an additional 16 months or so.

My own opinions from the match. Results for this and the Gillingham game will be up shortly.
Bonham 7.5 Good save in first half.
J. Clarke 7 Solid game Lockyer 8.5 A calmness at the back, made defending look easy Craig 8 Not at level of Lockyer but also solid Kelly 7 Couple of early awry passes, but got better and more composed as the game went on
Upson 7 A solid base of the diamond O. Clarke 6 Got forward well but struggled to get his foot on the ball. Conditions didn't help this though. Ogogo 6 Looked a bit leggy and not quite up to standard of recent games Sercombe 5.5 A bit more isolated than recently
Nichols 6.5 Some nice touches but it wasn't the game for that and was outmuscled too easily in the air Clarke-Harris 8 Good hold-up play, unlucky to be denied by a top save from his free-kick. Set up Jakubiak for the offside chance.
Subs: Jakubiak 7 Offered more than Nichols albeit against a tiring defence. Sinclair NOLE
Crowd 6 Ref 7.5 If anything I'd mark him down for being too lenient towards us. James Clarke and Clarke-Harris both bought some cheap fouls. Charlton 7.5 Hard to completely judge given the conditions but looked strong across the pitch. Number 2 a standout.

Everything marked up because of opposition status and our competing with them.

Results in and Tom Lockyer was Man of the Match with a score of 8.71. It was his 25th MotM in these threads, he is the first to reach that milestone.
This was also the highest rating for a defender since Tom Broadbent's 9.0 away to Oxford last season, 52 league games ago.
Starting XI average was 6.83.
All players scored 5.5 or above for the fourth game in a row. This has only happened once before during a run of five wins from Notts County to Cambridge in the run-in to the League Two promotion.
The referee rating was 7.5, the fifth time in the last eight games that a referee has scored a 7 or above. Overall, in the 224 league games in these threads, there have only been 22 referee ratings of 7.0 or over. That is obviously a rate of about 1 in 10, so we are having a bit of a good run of refs.
Bonham 6.8
J. Clarke 7.0 Lockyer 8.7 Craig 8.1 Kelly 6.9
Upson 6.9 O. Clarke 5.6 Ogogo 6.3 Sercombe 5.5
Nichols 6.0 Clarke-Harris 7.5
Subs: Jakubiak 6.9 Sinclair 6.3
Crowd 6.7 Ref 7.5 Charlton 7.2
