Off subject but like to know everyone’s opinion as my mate has recently become single and as flicking through tinder as we’re watching the England game in a pub and said he has interest from a lady but said she looks high maintenance...what’s everyone’s opinion of a tell tale signs of this?

What would you guys moan about if we had a super-duper MK Dons bowl-arena-drome type thing? Probably that we don't need a 30,500 capacity stadium. We could if we were ever run correctly and had someone to invest in our potential.Anything less than a 20-25k arena seems pointless building for a club like us. |

If it happened and we were no further along in terms of new build or redevelopment, then I would suggest knocking down all but the West Stand (because of the executive boxes) and construct three basic stands, even temporary ones like Bath rugby.
Hospitality could be done with marquees in the car park. Capacity would likely be about the same.

However if we had a stadium like that it would bring the club forward. The rough with the smooth as they say. My ideal scenario would be a massive new stand where the East stsnd is with improved facilities in the west stand / south stand and leave the thatchers as it is . I’f we could do that we could that then a 15-20 thousand capacity would be achievable . I don’t think Wael has the backing from his family to do it but I certainly think the footprint of land is big enough. We’ve got as much land as we need on the east side. Build a 10,000 capacity stand there and bang we’ve got a 20,000 capacity stadium. Problem is , nobody around to pay for it. |

Completely agree with you, however the point you make about the MK Dons stadium is interesting as they have a big stadium with modern facilities, yet they don't seem to have really moved forward at all? They're still a big fish in L2 same as they were 10 years ago. Why do we think that is? I suppose it goes to show that whilst we all know that a new stadium is needed for us to be capable of competing at the next level, it is by no means a guarantee that we will move forward, league standing wise. That will depend on how wisely the extra revenue is spent on coaching and players. Still, wouldn't it be nice to eventually be in a position where we can debate that! |

Not sure just building a stadium in a town with any football tradition was ever going to guarantee success? Just a pity Winkleman didn't buy Rovers instead, he'd have probably had a far better return on his investment.
