Good points about de Ligt, but I would do everything in my power to get him, including offering the role of captain.
Tanguy Ndombele would be a good option for sure, but if you get Kante back playing in his best position and at a reasonable price, I think he would be perfect for Utd.
Trust me on this one, Brandon Williams will be an excellent full back for Utd, whether it is at right back or left back. He can do both roles. I've seen him 5 or 6 times this season and I think he will play for the first team at some point next season. A very, very good prospect.
The left back Alex Telles at Porto has impressed me for a while now and could be an option, but I'd have to watch him more to assess his defensive capabilities more, because it is going forward that he has stood out the most. Ayrton Lucas at Spartak Moscow would be on my radar and another left back name to remember is a Georgian called Levan Kharabadze, one for the future.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Benjamin Henrichs are a couple of right backs that would be in my thoughts.
Kai Havertz for me is one of the best young attacking midfielders in the world and will only get better and increase in value. An ideal signing for Utd.
If I was Utd I would also look to the market in Brazil and the likes of 'Lincoln' Correa dos Santos, 'Pedro' Guilherme Abreu dos Santos and Everton Soares. As always, there are good young talents coming through over there and Shakhtar Donetsk recently picked up a good one in a lad called Mateus Cardoso Lemos Martins or 'Tete' as he is known.
I was under the impression it was a done deal for this lad to Real Madrid, but apparently not yet. If Man Utd or any of the club's over here could manage to pull off the deal it would be an unbelievably good signing. If he fulfills his potential then he will be one of the best players in the world for sure. After the embarrassment against Everton and recent displays it's obvious Utd will need more than this lad though!
