I agree - THD overlapping whilst Bennett cuts inside could provide very nice balance down the left. Still hope we sign another winger this summer, but more than happy for Bennett to stay and fight for a spot. To be honest, I can’t remember which game exactly but definitely a cup game at home last season where THD and Bennett both started and for the first 45 mins their partnership looked lethal up until one of them was substituted early second half. I’m pretty sure it was an EFL trophy game thinking about it but with so many people staying away, they missed some off our best football last season 😅 It was and they linked so well down the right towards the Thatchers - TDF constantly feeding KB to attack the box but he always ended up losing it so no end product. I always thought with KBs quick feet if he drove at players instead of constantly turning inside we would win so many penalties at least

Thought it was interesting to see Kyle in the team photos today being briefed by GC. Doesn’t look like a player about to sign for another club. If we are talking about the same picture then the guy looks like a twat by the way he is just slumped down in his chair at the back of the room like a child at school that isn't interested in what his teacher is doing which pretty much sums up his career to date! KB has plenty of talent but no end product, no work rate and seems like a bad attitude. Where is Payne btw ? Is he back with us for Pre season.

Morning Gasheads! Bennett to join us within next 2 weeks according to Wellens. No mention of whether perm or another loan. Have a good season, fellas! Was told today that no offer has been made for Bennett and he’s part of GC plans. Swindon manager wants him. But wages an issue. ""“One thing we don’t want to do is sign Kyle as soon as possible, because then we would have to be paying him through the summer – that’s not a position we can afford to be in.""

Ah, but that goal at Wembley 🙂 it felt like I should still be standing there watching it roll now! God time went slow for that few seconds! If I close my eyes I can still see it and feel that emotion! Just as special to me as Grimsby Pens but I’m not sure anything will ever top browners right foot! I never doubted it was going to cross the line, and I will admit that I started blubbing like a baby who'd lost their rattle just after it did, when I realised that was it, and we'd made it. That was a long hard slog from nowhere that season, and one hell of a sustained effort by the whole club to return to league one where we've always belonged.

Everyone went mental as it was such a relief all in one moment after they were pushing for an equaliser for what seemed an age! Always believed though! Great day!

The Bennett to Swindon deal might be in doubt as Swindon have got Lloyd Isgrove on trial.

Based on transfer dealings to date we should defintely keep Bennett.
We are seriously lacking players who can run with the ball, create and score goals. Bennett is one of the few that is capable of that and should be retained in my opinion.
If he played 46 league games I'd be surprised if he didn't return between 6 & 12 goals and between 6 & 12 assists.
Can anyone honestly see us signing anyone better?
It seems to me that any potential targets that may have been an improvement have turned us down.

Had a lot more energy about him at Kidderminster than Smith and things livened up when he came on.Good impact sub surely and has some pace. Can't see much quality coming our way and not spent a penny so far.

Hi guys,
Think you’re right there. Although Isgrove had a trial game most fans think he was ‘pre-signed’. He’s had his injury problems, for sure, but looks a class above L2.
I think we’ve got a striker to come plus a DM and that’s us done.
Good luck for the season!
Shame about that Checkatrade crap. Same old teams.

What is happening with the County ground? have the club bought it yet? You might finally sort out the away end bogs! For now though just spend a few more seasons languishing below us, ta.

The Council have agreed to sell the freehold to Power/STFC Trust - 50/50 for £2.2m. We have a non executive director, Clem Morfuni, who has just bought 15% of the club and will provide the club’s £1.1m and is an Aussie developer. It’s probably the first part of the Power exit strategy.
Morfuni’s company, Axis, sponsors the club to the tune of £500,000 and says he will also provide £700,000 funding for player/staff recruitment.
As with all things - SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Do I believe we’d bring in better if we let him leave? No. Lost count of the number of times I’ve wanted us to move on player X, Y or Z, only to then find that they were far better than who we replaced them with.
