Bonham Reliable, we really need to keep him 7
J. Clarke one brilliant cross when his natural instinct was to turn and play the ball back but the crowd shouting forced him not to. Otherwise usual average game we need a new right back 5
Lockyer a few over hit passes/free kicks but generaly solid 7
Craig Solid season in which our defence hasn't been the main issue, today his usual uncompromising performance 7.
Holmes-Dennis one sublime bit of skill, good attacking on a day we didn't have to defend too much 6.5
Rodman promising but not yet at his best threatens more than he delivers. 6
Upson some don't like him but he is a good footballer who battles for 90mins. Perhaps today his final ball wasn't devastating but a good foyle for Clarke 6.5.
Clarke starting to look like a player of the year, today worked hard, but never quite at his best and often seemed frustrated 7
Sercombe started brightly and continued. Worked well with THD and constantly dangerous. The downside was his tracking back on the goal where his effort was not convincing. But edges MOTM 8
Nichols neat touches at times but looked like he was playing on the downs only chasing when he was in the mood. Looks like a playing on his way out. I am a fan but finally I have run out of patience 4
Clarke-Harris oh dear a second game where he was poor. At times he tried too hard and other times his touch was not great.5
Subs: Jakubiak in the absence of another option now appears to be our best bet to partnerJCH, ran hard 6

Normally I'd say the subs weren't on long enough but both of them showed more in their little cameos than several players managed in the full 90 minutes. Bonham gets MOTM by default because despite slow, hesitant and inept distribution including a botched clearance that could easily have been punished he managed to field most of the weak efforts from the Rochdale attack. Woeful up front, non-existent in midfield, creaky and ponderous in defence. There was little of footballing merit on show and we were lucky our opponents were equally poor in an abject advert for League One.

Bonham 5.5 Not much to do, distribution poor
J. Clarke 4.5 Just below average game, not a F/B
Lockyer 5 Poor by his standard, distribution up to his usual standard, even gave our free kicks to the opposition.
Craig 6.5 Solid game MoM
Holmes-Dennis 5 Good forward play at times, defending not so good.
Rodman 3.5 Very disappointing,
Upson 5 Stuck at it without much joy
O. Clarke 5 As above
Sercombe 4 Looked good fleetingly, very poor for most of the game.
Nichols 3 Did not try to much and was really poor.
Clarke-Harris 4 Poorest game so far, but was very isolated in fairness.
Subs: Jakubiak 3 No influence on the game
Reilly 3 No influence on the game
Crowd 4 Nothing produced to excite them, but still amazing support with the entertainment produced.

Rochdale 5 Better then us, at least they did pass the ball to each other at times.
GC 3 He said it would not be pretty but this was down right ugly and dire to watch, and I feel Rochdale were there for the taking but we’re made to look better than us with this performance.

I thought as a team we played better than we did against Bradford, but still inviting pressure, slow on the ball, and not enough fight/heart. The team that wanted to win, won.

My own opinions from the game:
Bonham 6 Couldn't do much with the goal, distribution could have been quicker
J. Clarke 6 Kept going all game, couldn't fault his effort in a tough battle against Wilbraham
Lockyer 6.5 Defended decently
Craig 6.5 Same as Lockyer
Holmes-Dennis 6.5 Clearly a skilled footballer, defensively okay and burst forward well at times
Rodman 5 Looks like he has the skills, but didn't show enough effort for me
Upson 4.5 Has had some good games recently, but was off the pace and overrun here
O. Clarke 7 Kept going and driving Rovers forward. Involved in most of our good things
Sercombe 5 Couple of good shots but not too involved
Nichols 4 Wouldn't have said that Rochdale were that physical a team, but he was bullied out of the game
Clarke-Harris 4.5 Won some good headers but lacked effort at other times
Subs: Jakubiak 5 Some direct running with little end product
Reilly 6.5 One bright move to win back the ball and get a cross in

My take on yesterday's shambolic game. One thing to think about is the team that took to the pitch was the one most on here said was our best!!!
Bonham 6. Did ok and could do nothing with their goal.
J Clarke 6. Steady away.
Lockyer 6. Not quite up to his usual standards
Craig 6.5. Probably just shared it as our MOM.
Holmes-Dennis 6. You can see his class especially going forward. Just needs some more fitness.
Rodman 4. Look way off the pace.
Upson 4.5. When was the last time we controlled the middle of the park in a match?
O Clarke 5. Not one of his better games.
Sercombe 4.5. How did he not hit the target with his gifted chance?
Nichols .5. Probably a little generous but I had to give him something for pulling on the shirt. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of him.
Clarke-Harris 3. Over the last couple of games I think we're seeing what the Coventry fans were on about. I just hope it's a blip.
Jakubiak, 2 needs to learn when to stop running and when to pass. I would prefer to see Deon Moore getting game time.
Reilly Nole. Although his cameo showed he should have been on earlier.
My team for Saturday would be,

Sercombe/Sinclair, O Clarke, Ogogo, THD

With Kilgour and Moore on the bench and to get game time.
