"Evolution" for us meant not having to spend much money. Hence Wael repeatedly talking about FFP, which is actually pretty irrelevant at this level as donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity are not included.

FFP, Confidentiality agreements among other things is just something the board like to hide behind. I doubt they truly understand FFP, how can a lower half league 1 club breach FFP when we don't spend that much on players? As other are saying, the club has become bit of joke, not just for the Rubbish, but think even our own fans cant help laugh.

The Club has become a 'bit of a joke' and there's f**k all we can do about it. The lack of stadium progress is clearly frustrating but this back and white narrative from some at the moment is quite ridiculous. We're in a climate where various clubs in the EFL haven't been paying players/staff and have been acting massively irresponsibility in the pursuit of short term success. I've no issue at all in us adopting more of a conservative approach and operating within our means. We're a mid to lower half League One club with a very limited income stream. Why should anyone expect WAQ to essentially write off a significant amount of his own funds to take us to the next level? Assuming things were to happen quickly off the field, we're miles off being in a place where we could sustain Championship football.

See Forest Green Rovers, evolved from village team to football league ,poss tier 3 ! all be it they have realized they will never fill a 25000 seat stadium and the associated infrastructure and have cut there cloth accordingly, every club just needs a devoted ,wealthy person at the helm, with the vision to make it happen, someone who sees solutions not problems, so lets draw up a list of potential candidates and tout them, i will start with Dyson, local, always a step ahead of competition, and we get free cleaning gear , has an estate big enough for training complex, and more money than he knows what to do with , right i,m off to Doddington with me letter. I will preface this reply with a '...of course I could be chatting complete b*llox' but I'm sure I heard somewhere that Dyson detests old Pantsdown for some reason, surely that's motivation enough for him to pump ridiculous amounts of money into us until we surpass the six-fingered inbreds.

No thanks..... he’d probably relocate us to Singapore

The Club has become a 'bit of a joke' and there's f**k all we can do about it. Recently had a conference at Ashton Gate, first time I'd been back there since the Louis Carey testimonial, felt like crying 😂

I read something earlier, and the last line could have been about Rovers... "standing still is the new going backwards and plain survival is really just a slow death." Football 365

The Club has become a 'bit of a joke' and there's f**k all we can do about it. Just keep supporting the team for 90 minutes. That's about it. And to be honest, that's all it's ever been about for me.

And yes, I would expect the owners to invest, not write off, their wealth in order to take us to the next level. How else are we going to get there? Luck and chemistry? And I know they've spent money on keeping us solvent and painted bits here and there, but that's all safely covered by the charge on the stadium. That is not investment for growth. That's just maintenance, like me paying my council tax and getting the roof fixed.

It's hardly safely covered as they really can't just sell the ground and make us homeless, look at the stick Anderson is getting at Bolton and he's just a businessman not the shareholders in an international bank.

Are Mr Wael's 'Confidential Negotiations' nearing a conclusion or is that still Confidential??? Even mentioning the confidential negotiations is too much. Now you must be shot. Then I shall shoot myself for mentioning them again.

The gradual development of something. And we don't even have a scoreboard. It’s simple , you’ve just got to watch 2001 A space odyssey. That explains it.

That is precisely what I meant and, as investment bankers, one would expect them to know of speculating to accumulate but it would seem not. In my opinion, the club was bought to satiate el presidents wants, to be involved in English football but they have not fully understood just how much money was needed. I’m not blaming anyone but you would expect bankers to be top of the pile in undertaking due diligence

I’m scared, my mind is going, I can feel it. That part of the film really stuck with me. Great film, even now. Kubrick at his best.
