Curiouser and curiouser said Alice. Alice? Who the facks Alice? Bad luck Hugo! But I liked it. It is indeed curious at some opinions of GC as following the Doncaster defeat we'd have given anything to be safe with one game to play. Oh well. UTG!

Coughlan will probably get us playing poor football but keep us up next season. Holloway would get us playing nice football but take us down. Why ? It’s in the history books. Don't remember Olly taking us down. Jog my memory. Slipped my mind too

Would be sorry to see the Big Irishman disappear but understand if some of the whispers behind the scenes are true. I think he has a decent knowledge of L1 and would improve the squad next year for sure.
Biggest worry would be that we wouldn’t replace well and end up scrambling for business last minute. GC has already stated he likes doing business early in the window and I would like to think he has players lined up already....

Would like him to stay and mould his own squad for next season. However, if rumours are true about Plymouth then we'll have to say thanks for keeping us up and we move on.
Interesting to see that there's two managers at clubs they supported as kids doing a good job at present - Wilder at Sheff U & Smith at Villa. Return of Holloway then?

Makes that comment by GC stand out “whatever the future may be for Graham Coughlan...”

Makes that comment by GC stand out “whatever the future may be for Graham Coughlan...” But not "Hopefully we can have a big summer and we can get something going"? Adams wasn't sacked until after he gave the interview, would have really known then Plymouth had lost heavily and were about to sack Adams, leading to him being linked with the vacant manager's job.

Don't remember Olly taking us down. Jog my memory. Slipped my mind too This is simply semantics at play. At the start of the 2000/01 Ollie was our manager. We ended the season being relegated. He left us in the February and in a dire position. Ironically he moved to QPR where he succeeded in getting them relegated too. So that’s two teams relegated in the same season. He has a history of jumping ship when it suits him. QPR put him on gardening leave when they discovered he was talking to Leicester City behind their back. He left Plymouth in the lurch when he joined, ironically, Leicester City and was relegated yet again. Plymouth are welcome to him.

For the first time now I’m relaxed as we are safe! I miss DC! Can we get him back now please?

Its all very romantic but wilder and smith moved from small clubs to big clubs, only a fool turns down a big club when they want you. Thats why in my view dc should have gone to leeds,he may regret that all his life.

Makes that comment by GC stand out “whatever the future may be for Graham Coughlan...” I wouldn't get too excited about him referring to himself in the third person. It's just a thing people do nowadays. Am I worried? Not yet. Is asking and answering your own questions also a modern thing? Probably.

I'm not sure it was cut from the YouTube video. In the YT video he appears to be interviewed by a member of the BRFC media team (you know, that bloke with the monotonous low voice) whereas on the radio it was an interview by the BBC commentator I think. So I believe there was actually 2 interviews both with fairly similar questions and comments by GC but only in the BBC one did he make the slightly odd comments referring to himself in the third person.

What rumours other than the bookies odds? No doubt later today the Bristol Post will be reporting this thread as factual news......

I see. When it gets tough they want DC or GC. Glory hunters. I don't seem to remember them sniffing around when we had Buckle and McGhee. Buckle and McGhee? Then they'd be Gory Hunters!
