Look what happens when we play the ball about on the deck.
Ok, it was against 10 men but then again, Barnsley are clearly a very good side. Our passing could have been much quicker but that was a definite step in the right direction.
I really hope that Coughlan adopts a passing style next season. We're so much better for it.

It was a delight to see. Very few aimless long balls (though no JCH) and Smith actively seeking to play out from the back from goal kicks too. Fast, intricate movement and slick passing. Very promising and much improved from the dross we've largely seen under GC - though obvs that's because we've been grafting to stay up and shackles were off today.

Reminded me of the season before last, under DC. Slick, quick passing. Pressure the opposition and look what happens.

Where was Bonham and JCH? Spoke to them both today. JCH has been carrying a knock since Plymouth and playing through the pain barrier and Bonham has picked an Achilles injury. He had a fair size packing on it so definitely legit.

Hey just realised, we beat a side in the top 6! When was the last time that happened? Woooooo hooooooooo! f**k the northern monkeys! 😁 Rotherham I think - last season.

Well done Graham Coughlan you’ve taken over a club 4 points adrift and in free fall and turned it around to 4 points clear and mid table. Just get some pace and a bit of creativity in for next season and top half will be manageable. I agree but I want more than that.I want us to be pushing for the playoffs.. I want us to win promotion and then win promotion again but it ain’t happening with our current board , stadium and facilities. If I was offered a top half finish with some good quick and creative signings I’d bite your arm off for that in our current climate.

I agree as with those signings, ourself as well as any other L1 club has a chance at competing. We may well lose Locks, and our on loan GK but our defence has been good this year.Abit of spice added to our side in creative areas next year and things could be very different.

I’ve only missed two home games all season and We’ve won both . I’ve seen one game away , to oxford. So I’ve seen 22 league games and I think I’ve seen 5 wins. In terms of personal points per game I reckon it’s my personal worst in 35 years. But we’ve stayed up and I’m on my third bottle of Prosseco so all good. Think I’ll save the Moet for When we win promotion next season 👀

I think we can all agree it’s good to finish the season with a win. We have been poor this season but there’s a good nucleus of a side here. Sign Bonham, hope Kilgour comes good, sign a decent right wing back and a creative midfielder, a goal scorer to play alongside JCH and you never know...
It’s what keeps us long suffering gasheads going!
Now for a long hot summer and no checking this bloody forum every 37 minutes, I for one hope GC decides to stay and give it a go with this squad. It’s not that bad. Just a few solid tweaks.
Well done today lads, you proved a lot of us ( me included) wrong today. You beat a promoted side. You are a good side. Go rest and be back next season to give it a right go.

Against barnsley i thought it was clear why we have struggled this season but equally it was plain to see why we stayed up.

Same here, they were much better at their place where they looked like true Championship contenders. I thought they knocked the ball about nicely, but they didn`t seem to have any urgency about their play. I know they were already up, and it was very unlikely that whatever they did they would finish above Luton, but even so, they had 1500 fans there, and you would have thought that they would have wanted to put on a show for them. But to me, they didn`t look that bothered.
