Absolutely gutted , we seem to lose our best players in every transfer window lately !!! Got a bad feeling that we are going backwards again. The heart and soul is gradually being ripped out of this club again after such great work. Taylor , bodin , manse , Ellis , Brown , gaffers , macca and quite possibly linsey.Throw into the mix the loss of possibly our best manager ever in DC. I’m really not confident with anything at our club anymore after feeling so confident so long ago. But , congratulations to you mr Lockyer , you have been an integral part of our rise up the divisions and 8 years at a club in the modern game nowadays is pretty much unheard of, good luck to you wherever you go , I wish you nothing but success. It’s just a shame our club don’t share the same ambitions as you. We lose Locks Lines and Sinclair this summer that is huge. Sincs I would keep even of we got promotion to the championship as a squad player.Lines I would keep next season as a back up at least.

If Tom has refused to sign a contract extension how is that the boards fault ? If Tom wants to move on and has been offered big money elsewhere can you blame him ? If a competitor to the company you work for offered you more money would you leave ? If this is Toms last game good luck And thanks for your 100 % efforts over the years. Unfortunately you seem to think contract negotiations are a simple case of sign or don't sign. Not sure if you've ever managed contracts but successful clubs & companies don't allow their best players to go for free. How often did this happen before Wael's reign? So please enlighten me on how you get someone to sign a new contract,if they are insistent that they want to move on.

I can't understand what you're all complaining about. Surely this just opens the door for the big tall commanding centre half you've all been clamouring for? Also, didn't Lockyer sign a long term contract in January 2018? Is 18 months a long term contract? Don’t speak on my behalf , I’ve never, not once mentioned a ‘big tall commanding centre half ‘ and Ive certainly not ‘clamoured’ for anything. Exactly okebourne. Not everyone wanted Tom to go, again a few were critical most on here have always appreciated Tom. Great player for us and he will be missed. As someone earlier said it will only be when he’s not here that we will realise how good he is for us. I suspect he’s also very important in the dressing room esp as he’s the captain. Sad if it’s true. UTG!

Look after your top talent & incentivise them rather than not bother to attempt to offer a contract. Please enlighten me as to why it only happens to Bristol Rovers so often, rather than other L1 clubs? Or is it not our fault? The contract management isn't our fault. Like the stadium isn't our fault. Like the training ground isn't our fault. Like the big screen isn't our fault. It's never our fault, it just keeps on happening to us, nothing we can do

He’s been a good player for the Gas but not one of my favourites. We’ve had better defenders and I’m sure we will find another. Onwards and upwards.

And an international. Just saying. A welsh international. Remember the Latvian. He too was. Didn’t mean he was good. Only sometimes. Which is more than Lockyer (sometimes) sh** player, sh** captain. 👋 and you sir are a sh** supporter

Absolutely delighted Cogs gave him a chance at a deserved ovation. Superb player, my POTY, and a great servant for our club through troubling times and our subsequent rise through the leagues again. Linesy likewise. Both will be sorely missed.

Not sorry he is going and he deserves a better club to try and forge a successful career. No surprise whatsoever that no mention from the disgraceful leadership group at our club ... you treat the fans like dirt but you know already.. Al Qadis and their puppet show care not one jot for this club or the fans .... Another asset watched being washed away from the club, no fee, no nothing. Our club is on a life support machine ... Al Qadis have their finger on the off switch. I'm not sure either party (us or the club he is going to) can release news until the windows open , probably why this news was released by a Journo. Has it been confirmed yet ?

If we didn’t get a few, someone from the board needs to walk.

Couldn't be at the game today unfortunately, did this ovation look like a sending off one or was it just applause for being the captain at the end of the season?

Hugged Ollie at first, briefly spoke to the ref after (who was presumably trying to speed up his departure from the pitch but stopped afterwards), applauded all four stands, gave Kilgour a huge hug as he came off and then him and Cogs had a 10-15 second embrace and some words on the touchline. He. Is. Outta. Here.

Has it been confirmed yet ? Keith Brookman said TL's father told him he was 99% certain today would be his last game. If he's under contract I guess the club can't say anything officially until they agree a deal with another club, just in case they can't and he's still here come August.

Thanks to Locks for all he has done for the club. What a summer we are facing. Hope JCH is not going anywhere and we can get a decent striker alongside him. Not sure what the budget will allow though.

Also have we got the financial power to make these guys sign if a better offer is placed? No.... anything else? So which clubs keep managing contracts so badly they lost all their best players for free/peanuts in the space of what, 2 years? If we handled contracts better, we’d sell players and have the money to offer better contracts. Or is that too big of a picture for you to understand?
