Did GC really say he can only make one or two new signings this summer? Bloody worrying if that is the case. You would think we will need to bring in an experienced central defender for Lockyer and a midfielder if Lines leaves. Is that it? In which case, I am assuming no one else will leave the club and we will be totally reliant on JCH’s goals.

After summing it all up I now think we need a new management team with new ideas, players and backing from the owners,no more talk about DC just a completely new start but the owners need to act now.

The only problem with Ladapo is, would we realistically sign him? Do we have the finances or the pulling power to sign him? Plymouth can rightly so demand a big fee for him that I don't think we'll pay. Depends on the length of his contact. He was released from Southend last year wasn't he?? So would they have gave him a long deal? He had a great few months, but then his goals dried up a bit. He was awful against us at home park and missed a sitter. Lamerias was the one that ran the show that day, I would prefer us to sign him.

Now they've dropped to L2 I wouldn't think they'd want a lot for him (200 K max) if he's even still under contract. Better still try a part exchange with Nichols or Payne going to them !

We sure he didn't mean 1 or 2 in terms of numbers?
Like if 8 leave then we're getting 9 or 10. Before anyone says that it's mental, with the loss of of Lockyer and the expected culling of the likes of Lines, Leadbitter, Smith, Slocombe, Bennett, Payne and Sinclair then that is a decent amount of our wage bill being freed up by players that didn't really contribute much over the course of our season. If managed wisely then you could add some vital additions to our squad.

Sadly, think Sercs will leave too. He hasn't been very good recently, although I thought he was ok yesterday. GC said that he had already contacted 2 or 3 players that he would like but only time will tell. Our players are getting told their fate tomorrow. Leaving definitely: Locks: Lines: Slocombe: Bennett: Probably leaving: Mensah: Menayese: Partington: Smith: Outside chance of leaving: Mathews: Leadbitter: Sinclair: Sercombe Preferred Leavers: (my choice) Nicholls: Payne: From the first team we could see up to 10 or so go with probably 6 coming in, plus some from the development squad. But when you look at this list I have to wonder why did we signed some of them. The squad could do with a short back and sides rather than just a trim Think we will see more of: Kelly: Kilgour, and possibly Moore. Of course there will be some gone from the development squad as well.

I hope Stuart S stays but that’s my heart talking rather than my head. But if TL and CL go then SS and Dan L could be the final players of the Conference squad still at the Mem. Who’d have thought that. Istr in our first season in League 1, in January 17, rumours were strong that he was going to FGR. Resilient player on and off the pitch! UTG!

Also you're forgetting Ollie Clarke

It's odd, but I recall very little about Leads in the Conference and would have saud he joined in the first season back in League 2.
He was there in the Conference, of course, but my memory is of Tom Lockyer playing at right back, with McChrystal and Parkes in the middle. Perhaps Leads was injured a lot then?
More likely I'm getting old and forgetful!

Did GC really say he can only make one or two new signings this summer? That’s us down then. We need a keeper, a centre back, a right back, a centre mid, at least one winger and a goal scorer.

Did GC really say he can only make one or two new signings this summer? If so then Im off to put £500 at the bookies on us going down regardless of what the odds are right now! Im not being negative but our team is sh** and we got out of jail this season by signing JCH.And we dont know that next season that he will continute to score like he has! We are so unbalanced and lacking any creative ability in our squad. We faught ourself to safety by hard work rather than talent. We are losing our star (if alittle overated captain and main CB on a free) and our top L1 on loan GK,along with our most creative CM in lines. If we are only able bring in 1 or 2 players then we are 1000% down as our team is awlful.

This bringing in 1 or 2 thing has had me thinking, could he be counting Jakubiak and Bonham as part of the squad already?

Three players for me who I believe are out of contract - Curtis Nelson, Jack Payne, Danny Mayor. Would love to nab Nelson. We’re in desperate need of centre back options as well if Locks goes. Ruben Lameiras from Plymouth would be a great steal.

If Cogs really did say that about 1 or 2 players then unfortunately I won’t be parting with the 15% increased season ticket cost to stand on a terrace watching relegation fodder league 1 football.

Some of the out of contract players that I've noticed that would be of interest to me are:
Danny Mayor (Bury), Reece Brown (Forest Green), Jon Taylor (Rotherham), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe), Curtis Nelson (Oxford), Craig Noone (Bolton), Aaron Lewis (Swansea), Paul Downing (Blackburn), Graham Carey (Plymouth), Ruben Lameiras (Plymouth), Viv Solomon-Otabor (Birmingham), Callum O’Hare (Aston Villa), Bright Enobakhare (Wolves), Tom James (Yeovil), Sammie Szmodics (Colchester) and Jamie Devitt (Carlisle).
Cian Harries from Swansea would also be a centre back that could do a job for us, although he isn't out of contract. Tommy Widdrington will obviously know him from his time at Coventry.

Tom James at Yeovil, assuming he’ll come with a compensation fee but should be worth it. Championship clubs were looking at him in January
Actually didn’t come through their academy so might be completely free. Would be a great addition and believe he’s a right back, so fits with leads and parts going
