Will remember fondly his performance at Oxford. Terrorised their defence all game with his pace and power, and took both his goals excellently. There’s a cracking player in there IMO. I was there for that and he was excellent. Unfortunately that was his only great performance in a Rovers shirt, that I’ve seen.

If you could choose one from Jak or Reilly, who’d it be? I’d take Jak all day.

Don’t see Reilly ever being anything more than a poacher in the box, whereas I think Jak could become a very good all-round striker with the right coaching. I think Reilly is more suited to being in a top 6 L1 team with a midfield that creates numerous chances for the forwards each game, as I do think he could score 15+ with service. But Jak suits a team like us more, IMO.

Got the potential to be a Jason Roberts type player. Only potential at the moment but he does represent a good option off the bench.
Would have liked to have seen him here next year.

Very understandable why he wouldn’t consider coming back, given that those that were keeping him out of the team couldn’t hit a barn door. Not saying he was any better but he didn’t really have an extended chance to show it.

I hope he comes back one day, like the start of next season. Whatever happens I wish him the best of luck

How old is Jak? If still in his teens then probaly fair potential. Perhaps less so if he into his 20's?

In typical Rovers fashion he will go on loan to another league one club next season and score 20 goals!

A couple of seasons after and I'm not convinced he was ever a realistic longer term signing as he hardly played for us. Also we got promoted that season anyway. Hard to see what anyone could have done differently about McBurnie. In the two months he was at the club, Taylor and Bodin were both on fire and Harrison, Easter and Gaffney were all also contributing well. In that 12 game period we scored 29 goals: Taylor 10, Bodin 6, Easter 2, Ellis 2, Gaffney 1. Added to this, McBurnie made his premier league debut at the start of the next season so it’s clear he was very highly rated and he’s still at the same parent club, banging then in now. I can’t think of one scenario in which we had even the remotest chance of getting Ollie.

He scored twice in 38 League games.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's a reasonable player but he's going to be 23 the beginning of next season. I think there's better out there.

Absolutely puzzled as to why so many rate him highly.
Hasn’t scored this calendar year and got two league goals all season.
‘Good option from the bench’ and yet never scored as a substitute.
Tom Nichols’ goalscoring record but without the creativity.
