Agogo made no impact last season. In fact I didn't even notice him. Opposition players noticed Ogogo and felt his impact. Ogogo - yes. Agogo - No.

Really?? The amount of times he won tackles, got around the pitch etc was good. Not the best on the ball, but certainly an upgrade on Sinclair and a similar type of player. Oh dear, think you have missed my point. Agogo. I did until someone pointed it out lol.

I’d be happier if we were after Coventry’s best centre half and not one who sounds as if he’s third choice but I suppose this is the shopping in Aldi that we’ve become accustomed to and things won’t change until we’ve got a board that consists of better than a family who don’t want to spend money on the club with a youngest who loves football but spends his spare time talking the talk not walking it and hanging around with celebrities taking selfies.

I was hoping we'd be linked to Curtis Nelson. No idea what this geezer is like, just have to hope he is as inspired a choice as JCH.

For those of us without Facebook, could you please sum up the responses?

Can we please not slag off a player before he's even arrived, or overestimate our standing within the League by moaning over where we get our players from, especially after getting two consecutive promotions with a "Conference-level" squad.
Thank you all very much and happy off-season to everyone.

For those of us without Facebook, could you please sum up the responses? A No nonsense defender who puts his body on the line and gives 100%. A couple of fans can't understand why he isn't getting played and would actually be their first choice.

Got to trust GC to know what a good defender at this level looks like. Cheers!

Think he was Coventry's man of the match back in April at Cov ?

Davies is a decent CH but Willis and Hyam have been first choice. If we are after coventry players I would certainly take Luke Thomas who is a brilliant, pacey and skilful midfielder with a great eye for a pass. not their player.

Comments from 11 Coventry fans know and all positive. A few saying can't believe they are letting him go and they rate him as thier best centre back. Looking at the comments, hope this is true. Robins is a Dam great manager, in it !

Anyway, we will have to reserve judegment until we see him play and for the record I don't think people are showing any disrespect to the player just expressing disappointment that our HOR doesn't appear to have a network of contacts meaning our pool of available players is more like a puddle.

Or he knows he can get good players for cheap from Coventry as it was him that wanted them their in the first place?

I don't think it's a network problem mate. We're sh**e and almost no one wants to sign for us, which is understandable, given all that's happened with the club.
Not even after winning back-to-back promotions and finishing way above the expectations in L1 we had much interest from players, imagine now after barely avoiding relegation.
We have to make do with what we have and reserve, I mean really reserve judgment for whoever signs for us until they play.

And Coventry rate his signings so highly they are happy to let them go (although we have got a decent return from JCH, whether he can keep that form up next season we will have to see).

Well I posted a possible solution up thread- forge better links with local clubs, Swansea are in our neck of the woods AND play decent football. I agree in general though that we seem to have to pay over the odds in terms of wages to get players from elsewhere down to the south west.

I think he played against us at the Ricoh this season, looked to be a very good centre back from what I saw. I thought he looked like their best defender on the day.
