Got player's like Kilgour who is highly rated and might force his way into the team as well. Hopefully we can get Payne of the books and a few others. |

I think the back four has pretty much picked itself now and if all fit I think most of us would guess that these four will be starting the first game of the season; RB - Little CB - Craig CB - Davies LB - THD |

I like the clear strength in depth in our defence:
RB: Little, Hare
CB Davies, Kilgour
CB Craig, Menayese
LB THD, Kelly
Gives us a strong platform to build of off. Only question mark being whether Menayese is seen to be good enough for 4th choice or if we feel he needs first team football elsewhere(loan)?

4 signings by mid-June, don’t think that’s happened since 2014 just before the Conference season. GC appears to have a different approach or feels he has something to prove. Perhaps with his coaching background more than his management experience he wants players in early so they are there for the whole of pre-season, so they are completely fit for the start.

No neither was I pirate, I was making a joke, unsuccessfully obviously!😉 Of course you’re right about the better players waiting. I said yesterday on here that Jack Payne is probably mulling over a few offers and he will take his time. You’ll know more than me but I suppose the offers for players may come into them quite quickly but players will wait to make their decisions to see if other offers come in which they prefer and their agents will negotiate to get the clubs to up their offers. Perhaps these players have had their offers and they decided that ours was the one that stood out. And I suppose individual stuff, families, place, even gut feeling about somewhere being right will also come into it. Lets hope you re right and Danny Mayor or Jack Payne take their time but then sign in July! 😀 UTG! |
