Any updates on this Paul (gregsgas). Curly fries ordered, sausage rolls already in the oven,? OK, update as requested: Defos (9) Gregs Clare Jon Russ GHB Old biddy Phil Marshy Gassier
Maybes (4)
Gloster Tommy9 Marshy (+1) Rod
So potential 13 so far which is good, but I need 10 confirms to make the booking but we're very close, I'm going to email Kerry tomorrow either way just to keep communication up to standard....
One minor issue is the grey area of having between 16-19 confirmed as boxes run from 10-15 or 20+ for the double box, but its probably too early to get myself concerned about this scenario, as glostergas has said I should be promoting elsewhere....
Regards gregs

Sorry but gonna have to give this a miss. Wedding in September and then a few months abroad means I need to save every penny. Hope you lot enjoy though and I'll be game in the future. Gutted.... Cheers for the response though, I was beginning to wonder if you'd been kidnapped or something....

Just thought I’d bump this.
Should be a great night. Few beers, meet some new (and old, literally) faces.
Good price for hospitality this. All aboard’

Hi guys. Was really thinking about our group sponsoring the carabao cup game v Cheltenham. I've been in touch with the good people at the club who organise these things and this is the offer.... 'I can confirm we are not looking at opening the Poplar Suite restaurant but can offer you the following in the Exec Boxes on the evening of the game;
A private suite with TV Pre-match two course hot fork buffet meal Complimentary tea and coffee Matchday programme for each guest Cash bar in the Denis Dunford Lounge Hostess service Minimum 10 and maximum 15 people per box
We could offer you the double box (17/18) which will hold a maximum of 30 guests or 20 guests seated. If your numbers were higher than this we could offer you the adjoining boxes which all hold either 10 (seated) or 15 guests (standing)
The price for the evening will be £37.50 + VAT per person or £40 + VAT if you would like to be the Match Sponsors'
So basically for this to happen with the sponsorship (which is £3 extra per person) including VAT works out at £48 which isn't to bad considering league games are roughly double the price, almost always unavailable these days, plus ST holders don't take a hit. Obviously I don't need to tell you guys that the objective is to meet up with some quality people and have a really great evening and have a good laugh together watching the gas.... This isn't booked yet, but from what I can gather we can go from as little as 10 to as many as 30 but I really need to gauge interest before confirming a booking as it's boxes instead of tables and arranging these things can be tricky.... So, please show interest here.... Oh, and this year we are going to try to do our best to arrange more stuff during the season, don't know what, don't know when but we will get some events organised..... I get confused, is this the old league cup or the silly competition, with under 23 teams please ?

A word of warning. The food at the Mem can cause a severe reaction in people receiving chemo treatment. And, indeed, in those not receiving chemo treatment.

I seem to recall being in a box with some of the rogues attending this game some years ago, if my memory serves me right it was under 18's cup fixture in the later stages of said cup.
We dined on a sumptuous fayre of assorted pizza slices, pasties and pies, and of course the ubiquitous "curly fries". Strong drink may have been taken, Dave Beasant was present in his role as manager/coach of Matt Macey on that evening.
Lets hope this one is as enjoyable - UTG

That was the final of the youth cup against Carlisle if my memory serves me well. Dave Beasant was courting Matt Macey and his parents that night and shortly after got him a move to Arsenal.

It was against Watford wasn't it? And it was a southern final (essentially a semi final).... I'm probably wrong because I had been up in the box a good while before the rest of you enjoying a beverage etc....
