He said the same thing 3 different ways. I thought he just said the same thing the same way three times. To be sure, to be sure, to be sure......so it is.

That's all good and well Graham, but you could have at least attempted to clarify whether we're as advanced as newspaper reports would have us believe.

He said the same thing 3 different ways. I thought he just said the same thing the same way three times. As GHB alludes there’s a theory about the power of three and disseminating information... 1. Tell them what you are going to tell them 2. Tell them 3. Tell them what you just told them the philosophy translates into Irish tradition as 1. To be sure 2. To be sure 3. To be sure

He said the same thing 3 different ways. I think he's a player he likes. Not too sure.

Perhaps we'll go for his brother Avery. A subtle but well balanced comment.

Not very respectful of coughlan to the irish club to discuss their player openly in public. Not very respectful by their manager to openly disclose a so called bid or negotiation in the first place. Fair point from you and the other posters. My fault as i never knew their manager had discussed it in public. Maybe they want more money than we can/want pay?

Fleetwood Town to rival Bristol Rovers in chase for Ireland U21 defender Liam Scales. Fleetwood Town have emerged as a rival to Bristol Rovers for the signature of highly-rated Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender Liam Scales. The Irish Independent report that Joey Barton is keen on bringing the ball-playing centre back to the north west but Rovers appear to be at the front of the queue. Scales was left out of the University College Dublin side on Friday night as they beat Finn Harps 1-0 as he prepares to leave the League of Ireland club. Bristol Live understands Scales flew to Bristol on Thursday evening to hold talks with Rovers on Friday over a potential transfer. Gas manager Graham Coughlan had admitted earlier that day Scales was a player he was interested in but a transfer was still to be completed. He said: “Liam Scales is a very good player, I'll tell it how it is because there's been some inaccurate reports. "He's a player we've looked at, he's a player I like and I'd like to bring to the football club, being able to do that might be different. "We've not actually gone anywhere near some of the reports, we're not that far advanced. "He's one of many, but Liam Scales is someone I've looked at, I do have an interest in and quite like.” Any transfer fee is likely to be around the £10,000-£20,000 bracket but Fleetwood’s interest has slightly delayed any move. Scales, a left-sided ball-playing centre-back who has emerged as one of the best prospects in the Irish domestic game over the last 12 months, is expected to make his decision by Monday. www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/fleetwood-town-rival-bristol-rovers-3062100
