Pitch at Eastville was joint smallest in the league I think. I think that's right. Although the ground was very open with huge spaces behind each goal the actual playing surface was relatively small.

Used to stand near the players tunnel in the 80s. Away team used to get all sorts of a abuse and God knows what. By the time we left they covered the cage with perspex. David williams when manager used to stand there sometimes watching matches

And it made one hell of racket with about 50 gas nutters banging on it, happy days. 😁
