I think what a lot of people miss when talking about other similar sized clubs with owners that aren't as wealthy as ours (allegedly) etc, is that they are generally owned by fans of the club, supporters that have made good and come back with a few bob in their pockets. We have Jordanians that were looking for a quick profit and are more interested in taking selfies at Chelsea. Some how we have to get ownership back with someone who cares or the fans pull together and takeover, we will struggle (Exeter) for few years but at least we will have some say in our destiny. At the moment we are just waiting for admin and the sell of the Mem to settle debts.
We are going nowhere until we get an ownership model that cares about the club.

I think people underestimate the benefit we would achieve by the building of a permanent structure at the Mem. Some manipulation of the pitch size and placement, a decent little stand could be added to the south end of the ground. This could add some new facilities and would allow some peace meal development of the ground. At least we would doing something and not waiting another 40 years for some non existent new stadium. You can easily fit in a tidy stadium at the Mem if you move the pitch, problem is that you need to move away to do it as you'd need to move other stands if you wanted to make more space for a larger south stand. And at that point, you might as well rebuild the whole thing. I reckon the Mem could fit about 16,000 without moving anything. When I get some free time, I actually design some stadiums for fun as an 'amateur architect'. Started doing the Mem a while ago to the specs of that land. It's unfinished, but you can have a look below. I think this holds 16,500 or something, I have some notes but can't find them atm as I've moved houses recently. I wanted to see what could be done without going above the current Mem height and without moving the pitch: got any lifts in it?

Ground floor is a flat entrance to lower tier seating. Floor 1 is the executive boxes/conferences. Floor 2 is upper tier seating.

I think investors could be found who would pay £2.3 million (the value of the Mem shown in the accounts at 30.06.16) to acquire Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd and then build a stadium along the lines which Gassy has drawn up.
Unfortunately for us they would not pay £ 18 million for Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd.

The Al Qadis if their heart is not in it, they should just want to cut their loses, the longer things go on the sell will only get harder.

Stand-by-stand development is always the way that it was done and potentially provides a more cost effective way to increase the non-match day income and improve the match day experience.
The Arturus design was a little more 'boxy' and had a capacity of 18,500, but they were less constrained by existing stand heights.
Unless a new billionaire comes along, I can't see Rovers doing anything other than a piece meal development. Still that hasn't been too bad down at Ashton (so I'm told).

Why was the Arturus design less constrained by existing stand heights? Have planning regulations changed? Or some other reason? I suppose it was because they were going to rotate the pitch.

Gassy will answer I am sure, but as the Arturus design got planning permission, I don't think there was any particular constraint on the heights. I don't think planning rues have changed to affect this aspect.
