After all the clamour for news or some sort of announcement - followed by everyone believing it was over because a respected gashead believed that to be the case - this is fantastic!
The club have been so quiet on the subject, I can't believe they'd say anything unless they were confident it was going to happen.
Well done Wael, great work! Now get it over the finish line :-)

Brilliant news, let’s hope what ever the design it has facilities so the club can generate income besides football, as the accounts released this week showing losses of over 3 million highlights the fact that the Mem with all its restrictions is no longer viable going forward.

So, time to dream. if 17K-20K initial cap is correct, share your favourite similarly sized newish grounds....

This will send the dustbin thread on OTIB into overdrive.

I think it would take a major stumbling block for it not to happen now, all parties want it as part of a bigger plan. Nah, a small stumbling block would do it. From what is available here, Rovers are at the mercy of others and this will be a competitive situation. That real estate will be inviting to many prospects. BRFC will need allies and a strong business case to get a peice of this imo. There will be plenty of objections of course.

So I guess kingswood polak must've followed the wrong crumbs and spoke with the wrong people?

So I guess kingswood polak must've followed the wrong crumbs and spoke with the wrong people? Or just had a punt hoping that bad news would eventually follow?

Yep, thanks for the correction. The acquistion remains at Conygar's discretion, so presumably they could go through the early stages of the planning process and choose not to do a deal. Although it would be an expensive waste of time all things considered. Yep definitely, they could even submit PP for a development without a stadium. Hopefully the club posting so publicly about this means they believe this is a significant step towards something concrete being announced soon. Congyer Inv have also acknowledged Rovers interest in the development?

I expect the timing of this announcement has something to do with the expiry of the NDA or that there is a connection with it being the beginning of a new tax year, although I'm no accountant, so that could just be a coincidence.
I suspect its the first reason, as the club have been under intense pressure from fans to give some update on progress, and this confirms that plans are still at an embryonic stage.

Bags me the third seat in from the end, 3 rows back behind the goal and near the toilet.

Nowhere near over the line yet but very encouraging to hear this news and both parties saying they are working towards a positive outcome. People have been calling for an update and the fruit market is far from dead like some on here , so say in the know have been spouting.

As always with Rovers & anything stadium related it's the hope that kills you. Obviously a long way to go but IMO the club must have confidence in this going ahead otherwise why go to the trouble of the video - hopefully its further down the line than they are willing to admit
