When I see the plans printed on the back pages of the evening post then I will believe more so that there is commitment to this happening. Yea like the uwe? 😉 2 years is very optimistic I must add considering nothing is public knowledge. |

Decent location for anyone in Bristol I think. Not so much for those of us who don’t. Parking will be minimal and getting there a nightmare. Not great at the Mem so I arrive early to ensure I can park at the civil service car park. Maybe arena island could be turned into a car park |

Very interesting to see that's he gone public on it which I really hope doesn't come back to bite him on the arse.
I do think he may regret saying 2 years being the aim. I would be staggered if we manage to draw up plans, have them approved without appeal by any third parties and actually get it built and signed off all within 2 years. Not to mention ensuring the funding is in place.
3-5 years more realistic and even then I'll hold off my feelings of excitement as best I can until I see genuine evidence of it being built. Too many false dawns over the years for me to get overly excited by this just yet.

What are the chances of objections to planning permission etc? We always talk of nothing getting built in Bristol, is there not the potential for issues here? I don’t know the site well, been decades since I was in that neck of the woods.

Whereabouts?
I work 5 Mins from fruit Market, and the only space I can think of is by the bridge to nowhere, just to east of temple meads.

I've actually done it under 30 Mins during rush hour, about the same time as getting to the mem. 5 Mins from m32 and walking distance of train station. Not sure how anybody can complain about location. |

I’m gonna honour my ( very) long standing promise and purchase my first season ticket for the new stadium. Can’t make all home games but if the club our gonna fulfill my life’s long ambition to see the Gas play in a purpose built stadium after 40 odd yrs of watching , it’s the least I can do . Fingers crossed Gasheads Plus as you’re from Yatton, stroll to the station, train to Temple Meads, stroll to the ground - what’s not to like?  |
