It says 4 of the 6 sections that will be redeveloped. The areas mentioned are not as far along the river as the fruit market site. Thats section 5 or 6 im guessing. Trouble is the more homes they build in sections 1 to 4 the more people to object to a stadium. If (and it's still a big if) it gets as far as formal planning, I suspect it will be done before the houses are occupied meaning there will be no neighbours to object. The building companies may not like it although if approval is dependent on the whole site being agreed as one, it'll be one they will work with. |

Has anyone heard anything about WAQ wanting out ? Was reading a post on OTIB that mentioned it and with any malice as he was talking about the sale of city. I doubt that he wants out completely but I can see why he would want to get investors in (loss making and needing a stadium) which in turn, may mean he gives up some of his stake. Hypothetically speaking, issues would probably arise from how much he is willing to give up and how much any new investor or investors want in return. Then again, maybe I've watched too much Dragons Den. 😀 |

I don’t think Wael wants out, however like many other clubs who are seeing hoards of American interest in our sports teams, I wonder where we are looking for outside investment alongside Wael to help fund the club and potentially a new stadium. I believe Lansdown has made similar remarks and Gillingham are the latest Club to be snapped up by Americans. |

Wow, really that long, I was chatting to someone on the payrol on the weekend that said he hadn't seen him in ages, didn't think it was months though, other feedback was FM dead in water and forget about it and WAQ concentrating on additional investors. Plenty of mixed messages now after Sam Finleys comments today, i suspect his words are misdirected and that the FM is a dead duck is much more accurate, but then thats decades of cynicism built up from several artist impressions of the stadium of dreams. Whatever the truth we have the on pitch development and off pitch development and total logger heads, one going full speed and the other stagnant. |

He was the first with kind words when my Mother died and made sure my friend and fellow Gashead was able to enjoy a game in a hospitality box several weeks before he died. We have a great owner. |
