Here's an idea. Why don't we release another video with gorringe shooting into the fencing at the south stand followed by gorringe snapping his pencil filling in the jch paperwork followed by gorringe jumping for a header outside the fruit market after an Antony Evans cross but heading it into the feeder. won't have a ball as he out sourced that.

I’m really getting fed up of the running of this club. Who releases a teaser video like that only for talks to break down 2 months later?
Add that to the shambles of a South stand, JCH embarrassment and Wael commenting multiple times that development of the Mem is not an option.
I hope to god this is some hard ball negotiation technique we’re playing as potentially time is in our side (with plans due to be submitted by March). But it won’t be, it’s over let’s be honest.

The other interesting thing in the article was about discussion with YTL. Maybe there is discussion regarding the arena site? The New Arena complex will have a 20,000 seat "concert" venue..... could we be the first club to have an "indoor" Stadium.... lol No plenty of room on that site for a mega stadium complete with a brand new rail station complex and a local council who want us to have a stadium...... and not a tree hugger green in site

Wouldn't it have been nice to hear it from the club first for a change instead? That's what let's us down in my opinion. Don't go holding your breath for Wael to be making any public appearances when there is bad news to deliver. When he pulled the plug on UWE he pushed Hamer out in front of the press to deal with the fall out, and answer all the questions. However, he didn't have the answers or none that he could tell us without getting sacked so came out with his 'Crazy Gang' nonsense. Not exactly true. Remember the ‘beautiful piece of land’ interview just after, suggesting exactly the same about redeveloping the Mem…. www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/wael-al-qadi-confirms-bristol-298103

The club should start being more honest with the supporters. There will be more confidentiality nonsense coming I'm sure.

“The Mayor’s Office is trying to keep the deal alive”. Sounds as desperate to keep us involved in the stadium deal as the Peterborough United Head of Football Operations Liz Elsom was in helping us to try and complete the JCH deal. 😆
When the mystery takeaway owners rocked up I could see this a mile off, but nothing surprises me with this circus of a club anymore and as always I'll believe it when I'm sat in it. One disappointment after another and sadly when it comes to the crunch we are found wanting. Again.

I’m suggesting that the new majority owner doesn’t like the deal on the table and doesn’t want to go ahead with it. Same as what happened with JCH perhaps...

My dads neighbour works there and she says she’s been told they are there for the lions share of 3 years.
The fact we are building new stands and the mem does not bode well.
I can cope with the mem but I will be very upset if we move to that barren shithole Filton.

So everytime we get close to a new ground we bring in new owners to change the club's mind.

Let’s just rebuild the Mem. Old school stadiums are much more “romantic” anyway. Out of town bowls are boring. Wholly agree with that, Coventry springs to mind lovely stadium and everything but the only place get a pint was at the nearby Frankie & Bennys in the retail park…give me Gloucester rd anyway Isn’t that a big part of the problem? Fans demand a better stadium but prefer to line the pockets of the Glos Road pubs rather than use bars in the ground - a big gamble for the owners rebuilding The Mem as will the revenue streams be limited if fans don’t use our own facilities?

If anything in YTL talks are true and we end up with a Stadium like MK Dons surrounded by food outlets, it would be amazing. But slim to zero of happening.

For all we know, they have looked at the deal and said to Wael, that's rubbish, we can do better than that. Let's do up the mem temporarily and we will build our own project. Let's give the owners a year or two, before writing them off. The article says the new owner has been getting more involved with the decision making, so he's probably not happy with the way things were himself. But let's give him some time.
