Interesting that the FM or the Bristol Live article did not get a mention on last nights "Having A Gas". Normally they would be all over a story like that......

No way it wasn't intentionally left out. Either to avoid awkward questions or maybe is a negotiation tactic afterall and they don't want to push it too much.

What a strange article. It’s written as if the stadium shut 5 years ago and ikea has been open only a year or so.

Al-Saeed also operates the Middle East Foodco company and wons the franchise rights. So presumably his company builds them and then retains ownership of the franchise, similar to how he still owns the Best Western Hotel in Kuwait. Foodco own atleast 3 restuarant chains in the middle east, one of which is Buffalo's and that has atleast 8 restuarants in Kuwait that he presumably built and still retains the franchise rights for. So whilst it's hard to find out absolutely everything about him what's clear is he has many business operations. The old 2012 website lists 30 building projects that had been completed at that point, so given that is over a decade ago you'd imagine he continued to grow his interests - as per the KOHA website which is up to date, it lists his real estate projects as being in a whole host of areas - residential, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, tourist resorts etc. Fair to say he's a successful businessman, albeit not plastered all over a nice shiny website for us. What you say simmo is very feesible ,problem is we're filling in the blanks ,and with track records of owners ,particularly foreign and particularly in the lower leagues ,
it's only right that gasheads are getting a little nervous. Still , I'm happy to give him the slack as he's just through the door ,and as you plainly illustrate: he has quite
some clout in Kuwait ,and who knows elsewhere ...all the best UTG
They are understandable concerns considering the strange situation regarding the JCH transfer failure, reportedly pulling out of the Fruit Market stadium deal, the difficulty in finding information online about the new owners, the relatively low profile they've kept so far and the long list of clubs that are now in difficulty following ownership issues and (as I'm reminded by the article posted by lavalamp) even our own history with Eastville and likes of Clarke Osborne.

Everybody will have some concerns, that's natural. Coming up with loads of conspiracy theories and making out you are one of the only one's that can't see they are frauds, is a different ball game though. Like I said, we won't know either way at this stage. Give them a year, before writing them off. We need to see some progression over the next year. Personally I would be happy with starting the next phase of the training ground. Backing the manager again in January, if not before. Finishing the new stand and giving us an update on their long term stadium plans.

If this is really true then it seems like a strange way to communicate with fans, via some obscure Twitter account with less than 100 followers.

Just noticed that, is this just another wind up like the "Club announcement - Tom Gorringe" which was circulated on social media yesterday?
