As city played at St. Andrewβs yesterday and we are there to play Coventry next week, will the away seats have been disinfected by then? I expect they plastered the place with their pathetic little stickers.

61 goals in 118 apearances. A pretty major part in TWO promotions. How we would love to have someone with half as good a record as that now. Yeah, I'm going to respect the part he played in some of the most enjoyable years I've had watching my team. I'll clap him. You'll have to clap really loud to be heard I suspect. No doubt!

Hopefully we see Big Tony Craig use Twatty Failure as a human javelin, that would elevate him to Gas Legend status!

Should have pushed the boat out and stopped Matty Taylor leaving. He's gonna come back and kick us right in the bollocks.

What is really sad is people on here embarrassing themselves dreaming that he would ever consider coming back even if we wouldΒ have him, while thatΒ other lotΒ down the road are watering themselves at how pathetic some on here have become.
im not dreaming about him coming back, simply stated I would have him back, seems to me, your the pathetic one, actually worrying what they think!! #growup

The year is 2053, Matty Taylor moans on social media about Debenhams going bankrupt and the vouchers he got for Christmas can't be used. There is a 14 page thread on GasChat named "Matty Taylor Debenhams Snake Scum".

Get off your knees lads, the snake left us 3 seasons ago, hardly played for the sh** and scored very few too, hardly prolific player he was for us otherwise they wouldn't be getting rid of him. He sold himself to the sh** like a lady working a street corner. I cannot wait to give him stick if he is at the Mem in 2 weeks. And I hope our support are more vocal in the coming weeks, for first game of the season, it was eerily quiet yesterday. Pretty popular player over there with fans particularly for setting up their winner against Manure but always down the pecking order. Pro football a fairly short career, so he made a move across town for the obvious financial benefits. Far as i'm concerned the goals he scored for us meant he owed us nothing, and all the bitterness shown towards him is food and drink to the Lady Gardens. Past history, only of interest if he plays against us so far i'm concerned but a great signing for Oxford if it happens.

The bloke is bell of the highest order. He was complicit in all that 'welcome to Bristol' stuff and enjoyed his moment on stage for their 'champagne moment' also. Joining them is bad enough, but the way he did was disgusting. I for one hope Ollie Clarke, Tony Craig etc kick 10 lumps of sh1t out of him for 90 minutes to be frank.

I think itβs going to be a lot worse than that! In fact I can see a nice little earner here, anyone know where I can buy 7,000 plastic snakes with sh** coming out of their arses at short notice? Edit: Have snakes even got arses?

Agree with what you say and that kinda record and a player who got back to back promotions with us deserves the best reception possible. Not in this case though. I would have been fine with him moving to anyone except for them. Hope he receives the most hostile atmosphere at the mem for years.

For me it's more about the way he and them went about it more than the move itself. Both City and Taylor seriously lacked class.

Will this be the most hatred for a returning player since JJOT or Mark Wright?
Or maybe that will be Payne a few days before!

I think it was Pantsdowns doing, they didnβt even want Taylor, but it completely f**ked us up and it diverted the attention away from his love child and fellow goat sucker Lickle Lee. Peanuts for him heartache for us, so will I be booing? Hell yes!!! π©

Money talks really. They were looking a good bet for relegation at the point they signed him whilst there was a good chance we would have made the playoffs.
Didnt we finish 4 points off? Drew a lot of games in the end and even the better teams in the league such as Sheff Utd and Bolton were praising us for being the best team they had faced just we didnt have a goalscorer.
If Matty had stayed we would have got those extra points and who knows, it could have been back to back to back.
They're so far ahead of us now though and theres no chance we'll get as close to them as that again.
300K.

If Billy Bodin ever gets to play against us he will get a fantastic reception from the Gas fans (Stu Sinclair as well). The Snake, however, probably won't. It's not only the going to the Teds that's the problem. It was the underhand way that it happened. The fact that they knew all about his buyout clause, the 'Welcome to Bristol' sign when he joined - even our own bosses made a statement about having an agreement not to buy or sell players to or from each other in the future. It's also the fact that Likkle Lee obviously only bought him to scupper our promotion plans because let's face it, the Snake has hardly made any appearances so what was the point of buying him? I wouldn't have him back on loan either. He obviously has no concept of what the Gas means to it's fans. He could have walked into several other clubs and played first team football every week but he chose to go to a team with a comfortable subs bench. Muppet!

Will this be the most hatred for a returning player since JJOT or Mark Wright? Or maybe that will be Payne a few days before! Both will get hostile receptions. In Payne's case it is absolutely deserved. He did nothing for this club except steal a wage, abuse supporters and put in absolutely zero effort. I understand where the vast majority are coming from re Taylor, and I know he will get dogs abuse when/if he plays against us. I just find it sad that we can't recognise his significant achievements for the club instead. So he improved himself as a player and earned lots more money for himself and his family. Why on earth shouldn't he? Yes, he was naive to allow himself to be paraded under a Welcome to Bristol sign, but that says a lot more about Bristol City than it does Matty Taylor. I suspect the vast majority on here would overlook their new employer doing that if that employer was paying them 3 or 4 times what they earned previously. Get over it and save the energy for welcoming Payne.

I totally understand why some feel real hostility, but putting aside they got him from us, the buyout clause was public knowledge, he was a top League 1 striker and they were in the mire so well worth a punt, and he made 15 appearences (just checked) in that half season so pretty well used bearing in mind he has had injury problems throughout his time there which will have reduced his game time but 66 times on the pitch in 3 seasons when fit so not exactly bought out of spite i'd say. As for an agreement not to sign each others players, nobody knew of that before did they. That welcome to Bristol crap, not his decision was it. Just like when all those ex sh** go to Cardiff and do the head tapping it bends them out of shape too .
