www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05l2t2jThis is so heartbreaking. I remember chatting to the big man outside Level nightclub in about 2005. He was such a lovely guy and very down to earth.

11minutes of Junior’s career goals, I sourced via YouTube. Questionable music but some really great footage. A lot of Goals for most of his clubs (mainly Rovers & Forest), some for The Gas I haven’t seen since the day itself. Enjoy.

If only this could be played on the big screen Saturday, that would be some tribute.

Complete sadness. As mentioned before a real stand out player during a time of disarray at the gas. His sale to Notts forest paid for Ricky lambert to come to us, so without directly bringing the good times (if he wasn’t so amazing) he was the reason we signed sir Ricky lambert which followed with good times. Gutted when he left. So so sad with this news. Goodnight junior. 💙.

One of my fondest memories of Junior was at an away game at Mansfield, ripped their defence to pieces with two great goals
RIP Junior you gave me some fantastic memories

Dreadful news. Puts things in perspective. I trust Rovers will mark this by way of a minutes silence, rather than applause, to mark the passing of someone so young. RIP Junior. It would be fitting to have both - a minutes silence before the match and a minutes applause on 40 minutes.

It would be fitting to have both - a minutes silence before the match and a minutes applause on 40 minutes. The club have confirmed it will be a minutes applause before the match rather than a minutes silence. I agree that a minutes silence feels more appropriate but unfortunately, whilst it is very rare, all it takes is 1 or 2 idiots out of a likely 8000+ crowd to spoil a minutes silence.

RIP Junior. He and Grazioli were the reasons I initially fell in love with Rovers and I always felt a twinge of pride when he went to AFCON 2008 as the face of the Ghana team. Sleep easy, mate.

Such awful news - taken far too young, thoughts are with his family. RIP Junior.

FYI
The sad news came too late for anything to go in Oxford's matchday programme, but there will be a short acknowledgement in Brighton's programme (which is only a small one due to short timeframe of the date being confirmed). Then there will a full tribute in the Accrington programme, when there is time and space to do Junior justice. Junior will most probably be the Past player on the front cover* and there will be details of his career inside, plus tributes.
* - This season's programme theme is 'Yesterday - Today - Tomorrow', with a front cover and feature of 1 player from each 'era'. We are helping out with the former players side of it (the 'yesterday').

Hi guys. City fan in peace. I Promise I won’t hang around on your forum too long, but i just felt the need to say how truly gutted myself, and lots of my fellow red friends are at hearing the tragic news about ex gas striker junior agogo. Rivalries firmly put to one side, he was a cracking player for you guys, and just one of a long list of excellent strikers you’ve managed to recruit over the years, but more importantly, he always seemed a genuinely nice bloke who thoroughly enjoyed, and appreciated being a professional footballer. I know you’ll show your respects prematch tomorrow so give the young man a good old Bristol send off.
