Jaakkola 7 Not totally sure about the Oxford goal, otherwise a good confident display Davies 8 a dominant display, what a great signing ! Craig 8 another strong display ,he's the gel that binds the defence together. Kilgour 8.5 I've run out of superlatives to heap on Alf, but half a point deducted for a cocky double mistake early on. Hare 8 Improves with every game, another great cross for JCH Clarke 8 getting back to his best, set up the third goal Upson 9 a complete midfield display and what a goal !! Ogogo M.o.M 9.5 an absolute destroyer, snapped at anything and everything Leahy 7.5 a tidy game, looks more comfortable as a wing back. Smith 7 well marshalled by two giants but never stopped running Clarke-Harris 7.5 another lovely header, tired late on but he's getting there. Subs: Adeboyejo 7 a fresh pair of legs, he did ok Nichols 7 well done Tom, lets hope the monkey is off his back. Rodman N.o.l.e. Crowd 7 a nice friendly crowd !! Ref 5 liked flashing the yellow card but in fairness the game needed a firm hand. Oxford 7 played some nice stuff but defence looks brittle, a top half team. |

Ogogo 9 MOTM he was everywhere and a lovely piece of skill to set Tyler through

My own opinions from the game
Jaakkola 6.5 Not sure about the goal, good save late on
Davies 7.5 Another dominant performance
Craig 7 Assured, has more time and comfort in a back three
Kilgour 7.5 Looks better and better every game
Hare 8.5 Great cross on his left for JCH's goal, another for Leahy that was disallowed and a good defensive performance.
Clarke 7 Silly early booking, but kept his head after that. Good run for Nichols' goal
Upson 8 Also took a while to get into the tempo of the game. Great strike
Ogogo 7.5 Covered a lot of ground
Leahy 6 Not really sure what he offers
Smith 6 Isolated at times
Clarke-Harris 7 Took his one big chance

Jaakkola 6 - Feel he could have fone more with the goal and had one slip underneath him in the second half to be cleared off the line.
Davies 8 - Seems a very good signing and hope his form continues
Craig 8 - Solid defender who shows his experience in an otherwise young back line
Kilgour 7.5 - Gave the ball away a couple of times in the first half but he's developing into a good on the ball defender
Hare 8 - A good crosser of the ball, with Leahy we could be very dangerous from the flanks
Clarke 7.5 - Silly yellow but made the third goal by himself
Upson 8.5 - What a strike! Didn't rate him at all last season but one of our better players this year
Ogogo 8 - Probably his best performance so far, that spread pass out to Hare to cross in set up the 2nd goal was top class
Leahy 7.5 - Again, a good crosser. Works a lot better in a back 5 when he has the cover to go forward more
Smith 6 - Not his best day, not that he did anything bad, he was just kept quiet and sometimes forgot he was playing
Clarke-Harris 8 - Draws so many fouls from his hold up play and gets back to defend. Every time he gets the ball I feel like something can happen.
Subs: Adeboyejo 6.5 - Decent for when he was on, looks a good signing.
Nichols 7 - Yesssss!!! A Nichols goal! Let's hope he can start this season fresh and get a few off the bench before a run in the first team
Rodman - NOLE
Crowd 7 - The all ticket change reduced numbers but were loud throughout
Ref 9 - Knew the circumstances of the game and controlled it well, particularly in the second 15 minutes where it looked like it could have boiled over. Maybe got a little lucky with the Taylor injury taking some of the sting out of the affair
Oxford 7 - Have some good players but seem a little weak at the back. Could be pushing play offs this year, especially if Taylor gets in the goals again

Results in and Abu Ogogo was Man of the Match with a score of 8.44. This was his second MotM following his 8.5 on his debut away at Southend last season.
Across last season there were only two substitutes rated higher than Nichols' 7.08 in this game. These were Sercombe (7.3 at Bradford) and Reilly (7.1 at Plymouth). The previous season, 17/18, there were 12 subs rated higher.
The starting XI average was 7.57. This was the highest of the season and only the Walsall away (7.61) and Blackpool home (7.61) games were higher last season.
