The lad’s goal to game ratio for Rovers is as good as anything we’ve had. In my opinion, if we are comfortable at Christmas, he’ll be sold.

I’d love to think so but just can’t see it.
By January he’ll have put in a year of incredible goalscoring performances for us (if he continues his form), and IMO that’ll be enough evidence for a few Championship clubs to come in for him.
A half decent bid and we’ll (understandably, given our financial situation) accept, IMO.

Unless he hands in a transfer request or an incredible offer is put in, we have no reason to sell in January. If he continues his form, in all likelihood he’ll be gone next summer but at least he would have 1 or 2 years left on his contract so we should get good money for him.
Just enjoy watching him while you can, excellent striker who has scored some truly terrific goals in the blue and white quarters so far.

If we talking about someone a little younger who'd stepped up from a lower level then I think without question. He's been around the lower leagues a while now and his form with us is something unique in that time. I'm not convinced anyone would pay £3m+, the kind of money it should take to get him. That's assuming he doesn't have a buyout clause, and I'd be really surprised if that was the case.

If we are mid-table and looking likely to stay there then he will probably go but if things go well and we are in the top six he could be tempted to stay as he knows he’s the main man and would get his chance at a higher level with us. He must be aware of what happened to 🐍 and it’s not as if his career has been a continual success so he might, just might, appreciate his current good fortune and bolster his reputation with us for a while longer. Strangely I think he might also show a bit of loyalty to GC as it’s down to the gaffer’s interest and faith in him that he is suddenly in the spotlight. I reckon he will be with us for the full season but will move on in the summer if we are still in League 1.

Not sure but he definitely won't be here this time next year. Another thing..We Must include a sell on fee in the deal. If he was to join a Championship club and if he was to hit it off for them then his transfer value would go up by a ridicilous amount in the current climate.

The guy is a beast, best player since Lambert....
And all of the championship clubs will be looking at us as a 4 year old child eating a Mars bar....

I’m going to stick my neck out & say that he will stay, at least until end of season as everyone knows he is carrying the team. What with crowds dwindling, I think the owners would do all that they can to keep him. It all depends what position we will be in come the window. As always, I could very well be wrong

If he carries on scoring and a offer of a million + is forthcoming and Jch wants to go then our owners will more than likely accept

Up to the money men. Sell and grab some cash or offer him a great financial package to keep him and see if we can really push for something interesting this Season.

Geoff Stelling said yesterday that was his 16th goal in 20 starts!!!! If Stoke are still languishing around the drop zone at Christmas, I don’t see why they wouldn’t try and nab him. We have a long history of having our pants pulled down with regards to our best players leaving on the cheap and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a release clause in JCH’s contract. He’s still a young player who has everything in his game. If I was a manager of a club in the Championship threatened with relegation, it would be a no brainier. He has more to his game than Matty Taylor, that’s for sure.

Like any of these things, it will hinge on whether the money is at a level where the owners are willing to risk the downward spiral that could ensue.
If it is way above their 'line in the sand' i.e. their minimum acceptable offer, then what position and number of points in the bag are at that time might not be so much of a consideration - particularly if they backfill with a player of lower calibre but who would get some goals to offset the loss.
However if the bid is close or even slightly below, then how the table looks and what could happen for the rest of the season (and therefore the next season e.g if relegated) would have to my mind play a part in the decision making.
Gut says if he keeps banging them in he will be gone, but in reality too many variables at play.

I'm not sure that Soccer AM is the most reliable source for a football scout... If they're not keeping an eye on him already with his stats, they shouldn't be in a job!
