Do not shoot the messenger as I was sent this today by text by a media colleague in the Midlands. Whether it has gone out today or somewhere on the net I don’t know. I guess it has miles but in parts a wee bit of creative journalism. ‘Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke is in talks with former club Bristol Rovers in an attempt to sign out of favour striker Tom Nichols on loan in January. A lack of goals from his strikers is giving Clarke cause for concern and it has hoped Nichols, 26, could be the solution to this problem. Having signed the striker from Peterborough in the summer of 2017, he has failed to set the world alight in just under 100 league appearances. He is a player who holds the ball up well and runs the channels, which suits Clarke’s style of play.. It is hoped a loan deal can be struck for the player who is out of contract in the summer. Kiaran I have to say this is complete rubbish, no way can they afford £3 or 4,000 a week in wages so it would mean us being prepared to take a loss on his wages for 5 months, more likely is a settlement and him being released. I’d also find it ever so strange after the media leaked the off the record conversation last season with themselves and DC, he mentions Nicholls in it “I don’t know if he will ever recover”..........he hasn’t recovered. Oh and I get hearsay thrown at me, how do I know his rough wage, I do. I took 2 forum members on here as guests for the first game of the season last season at Peterborough and Barry Fry was VERY open to us about Nicholls and said in a full room with microphone “lovely lad, couldn’t score in a fecking brothel” Charis May who some of you know as well was also sat next to me, no shithousing here clubs loaning from clubs above them in league pyramid would unlikely pay even half his wages.

Not saying this is made up to get maximum Gashead attention, but if you were to make something up to try to get maximum Gashead attention this would be a pretty good one. I heard Lansdown is about to buy the Fruit market in order to build a stadium for the Bristol Flyers. Who? One of his other teams.

I actually think a promotion chasing league 2 team will Come in for Benno in January and pay half his wages, he’s a decent player for that level in the right system

Think loaning him would be a mistake. Reason is how many Forum members on hear can honestly say that Saturdays strike partnership had any penatration at all? Did either striker hold the ball up well? did either striker even have a shot at goal? Yes TN is still struggling but his general play is miles better than Saturdays pairing.

yeah room for 4 plus me, just let me know. Out of interest who would you drop to play Sinclair? well I don't think he's still got 90 minutes left in his legs at this level, I'd bring him on with twenty to go,chasing down everything either if we need a goal or if were winning then breaking up any opposition attack.

Granit Xhaka might be available soon...just saying. 😂 To make that sound believable you really needed to say: "Pirates boss Graham Coughlin is in talks with Arsenal in an attempt to sign out of favour midfielder Granit Xhaka on loan in January"

That’s Ogogo’s job though, loved sincs but think he’s done at this level

Tom nichols told me himself that because he was on £3,789 a week a loan was difficult to arrange. This is a fact.
